"..." Noland was more shocked that he couldn't realize what was going on sooner. It was understandable considering he only saw 'Alana' getting hit, and then Bowen was there doing what she was doing. Maybe he was more focused on Bowen to notice anything else. Maybe Drago was right. His emotions may have blinded it...and it's a good thing that it did. If Bowen realized she hit the wrong person...
"Y-yeah...I think so..." Noland - who was relieved from anyone being killed - proudly sighed. "...I really thought that was it... I haven't felt like that since Kendrick got shot..."

Alana was frozen in thought for a second. She was taken by surprise to know that her possible death may have sent Noland into that kind of frenzy again. Noland has had it pretty rough over the last couple of days. The Tribunal just kept taking swings at him. It was really sad to see...
"...You said you wanted to make my day special... You did...You did everything you said you were gonna do," Alana expressed to him. "You cared more about my safety than how you'd end up after it was over... You saved my life...and you were still willing to fight for me even after you thought I had gotten hit... You're an amazing person, Noland. Don't you forget that..."

Noland became a lot more calm after hearing that. He lightly nodded to acknowledge that he accepted what she was saying. Still, this experience was...dramatic for him. It really got him to think, and he couldn't stop looking at Alana...
The FBI showed up on the scene rather quickly. Their feet were making a lot of noise to the point where one would not be able to hear anything they're saying.
"Remains!" one of the agents announced to her comrades. The lead agent came over to where Noland, Alana, and Nero were. He looked around for a couple of seconds before asking questions.
"Who do those remains belong to?" the lead agent asked Noland.
"...Maryland Police Officers..." Noland admitted.
"They tried to kill ya?"
"Yeah," Noland answered.
"Wish you had waited so I could've done it myself. You have no idea how many of these rustbuckets try my patience when we work together. Some of them are just so jittery with their weapons. Some of them almost shot me a few times. Would've been nice to get some sweet revenge."

"You're really not supposed to be saying that... Some cameras still work in here..." Andrew warned him.
"They were working when they thought they could win jurisdictional wars against us using them Battle Suits. Didn't do a damn thing to them. I'll still be around. You can believe that," the agent laughed. "So I heard someone was firing an RPG. Any injuries? You all look okay, but... I don't usually see your back on the floor, Drew."
"I took a direct impact," Andrew informed him.
"Really now? And you're still alive? Hot damn, you just can't die."
"An ambo would be nice, Clarence."
"Yeah, yeah. I'll get you your ambo, but first, I have to know... Does Montai boss you around at home like she does at work?"
"...You know what...? Forget what I said. I'm fine. I don't need medical attention."
"Aw, you're no fun. Fine. They're on their way."

When the ambulance came to check on Nero and Alana, Noland was standing off to the sidelines watching. He was in deep thought about something. That was clear with the blank facial expression he had and the fact that he wouldn't blink.
"You good?" Drago asked him.
"Trying to get there," Noland answered with honesty. Around five seconds after he said that, the special agent from earlier came over to him to speak.
"Your friends evacuated all of the civilians before shit went down. Not a single one was killed. You did a great job," he explained. "Drew's gonna be alright. He'll probably be down for about a week, but he's still living. Alana's being checked for injuries too, but since Andrew shielded her from the rocket with his powers, she shouldn't be hurt too badly."
"Alright..."
"Your dad probably never told you this, but I was in the same squad with him and Drew back in the day. He's the best leader I've ever seen. One thing he said that stuck with me was, 'Heroes don't look for attention. They look for the good ending.' I know a lot of law enforcement across the country don't really like you too much after what happened, but don't let them take away the fact that you're a hero. You saved a lot of lives over the years. The right ones know about you guys. I just want you to know that."
"..." Noland was honestly stunned by that. He was too stunned to offer a response...
"You let us know if you all need anything. I have to get this scene processed so I can go home. See you around, kid." When the agent took his leave, Noland decided to do the same...
