Hello.
Been a while since I posted an update or anything. Site has been silent for months regarding any changes or updates and I figured it would only be fair to speak up to members who have been wondering when something would happen and if the site was dead. Well, today I am here to answer that as well as bring several other important news. Let's get started.

People having been asking this one a lot, but mostly in a subtle way. You see us, admins, swing by from time to time to make RP posts in Official Roleplay and we may often chat on Discord, but we do not really approve any profiles, cards or check any battles.
Answer to this is simple- we are tired. For some time now only Zane and I have been doing staff work. Other staff have simply moved on with their life and are not interested in doing it anymore- which is perfectly fine; you do not want to do something that does not make you happy. Zane got very busy as well so I was the only one dealing with things which I eventually got tired of. Especially after certain people started complicating things with creations- it was just a burst of negativity for me so I called it quits.
HAVE YOU TRIED DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT?
Yes, on multiple occasions. First, we acted negatively towards people who were complicating things. I admit, we could have been more civil about it. We thought if we changed things in the system to make it easier for us people would follow the rules more and we would not need to constantly babysit the brawls' board. Sounds good, doesn't work.
We, admins, had ideas on how to solve all the issues. However, with time this willpower watered down. Other two admins do not show much interest because they do not have time in their real life anymore to spend it on this site. I, of course, do not plan to tackle this sort of thing alone because I am not a miracle worker.
Next- we wanted to turn this site into pure roleplay site with no brawls since it is much easier to approve profiles and have roleplay content that can be monitored and rewarded based on the quality of roleplays (which many RP sites do; even battles are RP). However, again lack of time and interest in transforming this have prevented this.
It's how life goes.
HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT GIVING OTHER PEOPLE STAFF POSITIONS?
Yes, we have. Site has been here for quite some time and staff positions were given to people we have known for a long time and those people we have big trust in. I trust Zane's judgment so if he does not want to give staff position to just anybody for sake of keeping site alive I will side with him on this, too. Same goes for any other admin active on Discord.
IS THIS SITE DEAD?
Yes, it is dead. Other admins may or may not be upset with me saying it, but I will not sugar-coat it. We have no plans for bringing site back to life and will not be coming up with any plans. We have lives and our interests changed; there are no viable replacements. Our interests are not against Bakugan, but mostly against the existing system; it requires us to do more work and pay more attention than it is worth it. That is why we wanted the full-RP system- to take a big load off our shoulders. The way it is now we need to 'babysit' sections like Card Creation and Brawling Area.
I praise Zane's new brawling system and all, but let's be honest- we are busy people. Other RP sites focus on RP entirely so staff work is not as difficult. I've tried it first-hand. It is fun, easy, inspiring and immersive.
As a staff member and member of this site I can tell you that I do not plan on doing anything on this site anymore aside helping Zane finish his Season 3 on official story. If you were hoping for your items to be approved or battles checked apologies for not saying anything before- we ourselves were not sure what to do about all this.
ARE WE CLOSING THE SITE?
Yes and no.
Our decision was- when story is finished to leave the site open as a museum. After all, thousands of people went through here; many oldies might one day swing by for sake of nostalgia so we would not close down the site. Of course, this means you will not be able to use the site anymore (brawl, RP etc.). We will also leave the Discord open so if any of the oldies want to swing by and chat with people they met here before they could do it.
I cannot speak for fellow admins if they decide to change their minds and keep this going. I have made up mine and I am not changing it.
