Episode 16: Ignited Power

Noland gritted his teeth when he observed Daniel squeak his way out of yet another situation of defeat. He was definitely disturbed by the methods used to revive the Pack, but he was more concerned about them coming back in full force with an army to back them up. "That was our strongest attacks...and yet it wasn't enough to knock them out...?" Noland asked himself in a little bit of horror. "We used those abilities with the impression that the Pack didn't have enough remaining energy to summon the horde again. Now this freak is pumping them with his own blood." Drago was breathing a bit heavily as he stared down the incoming force of enemies. Regardless of unleashing his strongest ability, he still remained determine to beat them regardless of the differences in power. Noland heard him growling continuously under his breath as he pondered over what he was going to do. Suddenly, Drago started making that decision for him.

"I need more energy..." Drago said as his eyes started to become fixated on Belphenoid specifically. As he looked at his opponent, he could imagine the identical scenario that took place two years ago when he was pushed into a corner like this at the Capital after using his most powerful attacks that ended up being futile. This made him furious to the point where he looked back at Noland and demanded more power by saying, "Give me the energy!" Noland responded to him by saying, "You and I can't handle any more of that energy. That attack already pushes our bodies to their limits. You know that." Drago looked back at him as his eyes flashed and put his left hand towards Noland as his hand started glowing in the same color. "I didn't ask, Drago retorted.

The energy from Noland's body began transferring to Drago's body by force, which caused Noland to stare at him in shock as the Bakugan completely ignored everything he just said. This greatly angered him as he said, "So destroying Belphenoid is your top priority? My condition will mean nothing to you, will it?" As the energy transfer was starting to finalize, Noland began feeling fatigued, nearly causing him to stumble. "Look at what's in front of us, Noland. You can either go through the pain now or have it end altogether by dying. I don't have time to debate this, so you're just going to have to suck it up!" Drago roared. Noland glared at the dragonoid for his apparent superiority complex in this situation, but knew there was nothing he could do to stop the siphoning from happening. He could only watch to see what the Bakugan was planning as the energy in his hand completely disappeared. "Why...? Why are you doing this...?"

With his energy seemingly restored, Drago stood ready to destroy his enemies. His power began charging as he activated an ability on his own. "The fighting between that Bakugan and I is above all other conflict," Drago said to himself. "Volcanic Temper!" Drago's body ignited in a fierce flame upon activation. The power that was flowing throughout his body began cracking the ground around him. It began weighing him down in a way that limited his movement, which was a side effect from absorbing as much power as he did past the limits his body can contain. He started taking small steps towards his enemies, making large craters in the ground with each one he took. "I won't stop...I'll never stop until..." Streams of fire started rising from the ground to surround Drago in his entirety. A large magma sphere formed around the Dragonoid, halting his movement completely. He stood inside this mass of energy with his eyes closed as he started to lose the feeling of his body parts. He looked down and noticed that even greater power was being forged onto his body. As the feeling of his body started returning to him, he opened his eyes as he finished the declaration he was making prior to being encased. "I'll never stop until you die!"

With that said, he burst out of the molten rock with a few new modifications to his body. His arm and leg muscles appeared bulkier in addition to gaining a pitchfork tail that he could regenerate if detached from his body and detach it on purpose for his attacks. His chest gained a special pattern on it that was the same as Delta Dragonoid's, further hinting at their close relation in the Dragonoid line. In addition to keeping the diamond he had on his forehead, he also gained a third set of wings in conjuction with numerous identical diamonds appearing across the upper portions of his golden-tipped wings. "Drago...did you just...?" Noland asked in astonishment. Without responding to Noland's question, Drago began charging an attack. "This is the power of Bane Dragonoid!" Drago declared. "Rage Fire!" This attack was a new ability that allowed him to use his Pyrus energy to cover any part(s) of his body in a fierce flame that allowed a lot of versatility in his approach. He decided to set his right hand on fire and punched the ground, which caused the ground beneath the Pack and their army to crumble as a large flame pillar engulfed them in their entirety.

Gorem's Titanic Gaia collided with the three attacks, along with Drago's ultimate ability. It created a blast unlike anything Allen had ever felt. It blew him back a few feet." Did that do it. Did we..." Allen begun. His eyes widened in horror as the whole Pack managed to survive the attack. Gorem wasnt that lucky. He was splayed out unconscious, face to the floor. Thier were cracks forming everywhere in his armour.It had failed. Everything they threw out had been absorbed by Daniel and the terrorists." That was my full power. Never had I used that much of the energy. Yet that wasnt enough. We've lost." Allen whimpered, his head down, kneeling in defeat.

Drago's showing of his will to fight must have sparked something in Gorem. The bakugan turned his head, and placed his hands to the ground." We are not done! This is where the weak are seperated from the strong." Gorem managed to spit out, no air in his lungs to sustain anything below a whisper. He pushed himself up with all his might, barely getting to his knees." The end is in sight. It's right here. I won't accept this,but do you?" He growls, gazing over at Allen. Allen simply shakes his head." Then give me the rest of what you've got. We either put an end to it now, or we die trying." Allen placed his hand to the ground, and Gorem refilled himself with whatever he could get. The golem bakugan stood up, and marched at the Pack. Something was off though, as the cracks begun to glow with a white light. He marched forward, and pieces of his armour fell off.

Once all of his armor was gone, save for his helmet, Gorem stopped. He then stomped on the ground, the light brightened, then disappeared. What remained was a new Gorem. Sleeker armour was the main feature to this upgrade. The armor on his arms and legs were smaller and sleeker, revealing more of Gorem's brown flesh. The only piece of him that remained the same size was his chest plate, which gained more circular edges, and a booster powered by Gorem's energy. His helmet morphed to become like a mix between Dryad's and the original Gorem." Force Gorem ready to rock. Now go Gravitron Balistae." Gorem charged up energy in both of his hands, then launched out missile like bolts at the Terrorists.

Belphenoid, Asmodeus and Abaddon faced a threat like never before. 
Daniel looked at a combined attack coming their way and his body started glowing.
He had no gauntlet, so he was using his own life force and blood to manage Pack's power.
Blood was spilling out of his body as an ability was activated.
"Hell Tornado!" Daniel yelled as his body started to glow in dark-purple and crimson combination. His eyes were glowing in bright crimson.
Belphenoid opened his jaw and screeched: "Dragonoid, you will burn! You will burn in hell!"
A tornado of fire and darkness was launched at Drago and Gorem clashing with their attacks. It didn't take much time to estimate that his attack was too weak to match their combined force.
Clash lasted for only a second and ultimately Drago and Gorem prevailed with their attack.
Blast of energy hurled at the Pack and caused an explosion that devastated the whole place.
Three Pack members were severely wounded; most of their bodies were fried and some were cut off as well. They were just lying on the ground without even a single bit of power left to battle.

Daniel was starring at the new Dragonoid form and was not sure what to think. His whole plan was ruined since he never expected opponents to evolve their Bakugans. He was cursing Belphenoid and other two Pack members since they were referred to as 'magnificent' and 'powerful', but they failed to win. "I haven't seen anything weaker in my life.....do you seriously call yourself Bakugans? Useless bags..." Daniel said to the Pack.
He was bleeding severely from his hands since he used his own blood to power-up Belphenoid.
Some parts of his body turned into pitch-black necrosis areas. "Damn it...this body is just slowing me down...I need to get rid of it..." Daniel whispered to himself.
He knew that Nero would be mad for sure, but at this point he was ready to risk it. Staying any longer here would be a suicide and there were no much options except escaping. Daniel turned to Belphenoid and said: "I will give you some of my life force I have left. Don't waste it. Get me and these two out of here."
Daniel's life force was transferred to Belphenoid giving him just enough energy to teleport. In a few seconds he created a powerful flash which blinded Noland and Allen for a few seconds. When they looked at the battlefield again no one was there. Terrorists had escaped.

"He always finds some way to get away..." Noland lamented as the blinding effects from the flash of light disappeared. Once his vision returned to normal, the Terrorists were nowhere to be found. All that remained was a heavily damaged area due to the fierce battling. Despite his nemesis escaping from them once again, Noland was happy at the result. Daniel's appearance was severely changed from the way he handled the Pack members, which left him considerably weakened. It would be a long time before he ever achieves the strength to cause any more significant problems in the community; the Pack would also need a lot of time to heal after receiving that much damage in battle. This was a very important victory for the Resistors and the people as a whole. "I'm still curious about how he was able to use his own life force to power up those Bakugan, but at least that was to his own detriment," Noland stated.

Drago turned to Noland and placed his palm towards him. He began siphoning energy back into Noland's body so that he could function normally without any of the drawbacks from overexertion. "Don't think of me badly for how I acted back there. It was our best chance of survival, so I had to take that chance. I know you didn't appreciate me acting that way since it did stress our bodies out a lot, and my purpose being your guardian is not to place you in any mortal danger. I care a lot about your condition and will do anything to ensure your safety regardless of the measures that I have to take. I'm sorry," Drago apologetically said. Revitalized, Noland looked up at the dragonoid and said, "I may not have understood why you were taking my energy forcefully, but it worked out. At the end of the day, we're still alive and Daniel has been defeated. That's all I could ask for, so there's no hard feelings. Apology accepted."

Noland then turned to Allen and jokingly said, "I guess we're going to have a lot to explain to our folks about how our Bakugan evolved just now." Jokes aside, he then expressed his gratitude about having Allen hear to battle with. "I don't know what would have happened to me if you weren't here to help us out with this battle. I'm not too sure if those six Bakugan would have been manageable to us by ourselves. I owe you a lot for this one." He then observed Drago and Gorem to see just how much they've grown as a result of their evolution. "Gorem's power is in a class of its own now that he is able to use abilities like Gravitron Balistae. Now that he has access to them, his offensive power just became even more threatening in combination with his legendary defensive skills. At the same time, from what I saw on my gauntlet, Drago's arsenal just received some interesting additions that could very well match his versatility with Gladion's. I guess we'll see which one is better soon enough," Noland said in his mind.

After Daniel and the others left, Allen finally got to really look at both Force Gorem and Bane Dragonoid. They were amazing bakugan by themselves. Together, they gave Allen a hope that the Resistors could end the violence and begin a new era of piece. But that would have to wait, as the Terrorists and thier backer still have to be stopped." I agree fully. We might be tough, but we put so much into that just to pull ahead. " Allen commented to Nolands remark." I got your back and you got mine, eh pal? That's how we won our last war, and that's how we will win this one."

Allen shook himself out of the somber mood that plauged the air. He took another look over Bane Dragonoid." I didn't think Drago could get cooler. That Raging Fire was absolutely wicked." Allen turned to Noland." Now with these beefed up bakugan, there's no reason not to make it into the finals. So win until we get to settle our rivalry, alright?" Allen joked. He turned to leave home, scratching his head over what he will say to explain his absence from the house. Whatever happened, he was sure to get in trouble." Oh well. I did some good today. No good deed goes unpunished, or so they say." He said, talking to himself.
