Right when he heard that the Hurranians were just going to leave Noland and Drago laid out on the floor to die, Markus and Gargulion decided to reveal themselves in their shadow. As hinted earlier, the boys hitched a ride with them before Dasia left. Now they were in the middle of an important conservation the Hurranians would be having with each other. No one has ever witnessed a Hurranian meeting before. This sounded like it was going to be something worth watching.
"That'll be your undoing..." Markus thought in his head about their choice to leave Noland and Drago alone until they perish. "Ability activate! Fusion Gargoyle!"
Markus has gotten really proficient in the use of his abilities, so much so that he could branch out and use them in ways that he never would've considered using them for. He and Gargulion possessed Noland and Drago's bodies, shown by a green flash coming out of them when he did; fortunately, they did this when Dasia and her "boyfriend" weren't paying attention.
Around the region of the body where their hearts were located, Markus and Gargulion started delivering pulses of energy towards it to get it started again. They had to do this a couple of times...
"Come on, man... Don't do this to us. Come back..." Markus said when his attempts were failing.
"Whatever it is that you're doing that's making you leave, stop it," Gargulion insisted. "I swear...between Hydranoid batting you with his tail and this...you're really the most unlucky one out of all of us." Gargulion does have a point. Noland tends to be close to death a lot...

Noland and Drago were sitting next to each other in limbo, frustrated over what they had chosen to do. Noland was very upset about it too. One could see it on his face. He was slumped over a log, pouting over his supposed death.
"Why is it always me?" Noland pouted, having been in this same situation for the second time while everyone else only had one from the first Hurranian incident.
"It was bound to be someone," Drago answered.
"Which is somehow me...again."
"This is your second trip. You should be used to this by now. How do you think I feel being here?"
"I'm not Dharak, okay? I'm never going to get used to this."
"Look on the bright side. If we're here, then that means we're getting revived...right? I mean...we're not in limbo for nothing. You got revived before. It should happen now...shouldn't it...? ...Why do I get the feeling I'm panicking about this?"
"Panicking? Is that what you did when you were holding onto the BT System?"
"What!? Now you're blaming this on me!?"
"I just asked a question. I didn't say it was your fault when you lost Duality."
"You...you're really doing this to me now?"
"Just like it wasn't your fault when you got knocked out by Hydranoid, which ended with me getting lashed by his tail."
"I said I was sorry!" Drago then turned the blame back on Noland. "Aren't you supposed to be the brawler? Every move I used back there was on your command."
"What!?"
"Yes! That's exactly right! It was your fault I lost to Hydranoid! If you had been better with your battle tactics, that wouldn't have happened! Now...I can't really pin the blame on anyone for what happened here with the BT System, but that first one was on you!"
"I knew it! I could tell by your body language after it happened! You were holding it against me the entire time!"
"That's right! I was! And you know what!? You tried to do it to me again when we fought the Admiral!"
"Oh yeah!?"
"Yeah!"
Both Noland and Drago stood up to confront each other in a silly fashion. They stood there for a few seconds before someone said anything else.
"Still panicking?"
"No...I'm good."
"Okay. Hey, um...none of that was serious, right...? I mean...that Hydranoid incident was on both of us, but this one...I know you don't want me to say it."
"Yeah...this one's on me. It got me thinking though. What kind of training did Apollonir do to discover that form? I didn't think it was possible..."
"Who knows what Dad and him were hiding from us. It was still worth it though. If we were in that state when we fought Maria, we wouldn't have needed Allen and Alana for a safety net. It's amazing to think how much potential we actually had, you know? That makes me feel good...in a way."
"You think there's some otherwordly reality where all the dead people go where they can still keep their bodies and train with other fighters who are in the same position we're in?"
"I dunno. I believe in a Heaven and Hell though. I remember when Mom used to drag me to church every Sunday morning. It gets difficult to believe when all of this stuff rained down upon us, but...I still have faith. By the way, wasn't there something about Bakugan souls going to the Doom Dimension when they die?"
"That's a load of bullshit. That's like saying you can access Hell while you're alive."
"Yeah...that does sound crazy."
"I swear...between Hydranoid batting you with his tail and this...you're really the most unlucky one out of all of us." Noland heard this line out of nowhere. It kinda made him freak out.
"Um...did you hear something?"
"Yes?" Drago was unsure of what he had heard.

Markus felt like he wasn't getting anywhere with the revival process, so he had to take desperate measures. Doing this was risky, as it directly places his life in danger.
"Gargulion, merge us with their bodies so they could feed off of our energy," Markus ordered.
"You know what I have to ask in response to that, right?" Garglulion responded.
"Yes. I accept the conditions," Markus welcomed.
"Alright. Doing it now..." Gargulion took the Fusion Gargoyle ability a step further, and went into full-on possession of the target. This normally cannot be done and was never shown, as the majority of opponents Markus faced had the willpower to resist this. Since Noland and Drago are currently unconscious, who's going to stop it? Not them.
In doing this, Markus has successfully merged with Noland's consciousness. With his new body, Markus opened his eyes, which was actually Noland's eyes. He started breathing, and even developing a heartbeat. The same process occured for Drago, who was currently being manipulated by Gargulion.
"Noland, are you still there?" Markus wondered.

A bright light flashed over Noland and Drago when their bodies became possessed. They awoke to their bodies being frozen, as they had no control over it. The primary controllers were Markus and Gargulion. It took Noland a while to realize what was going on, but he caught onto the situation.
"I'm...alive somehow..." Noland recognized. "This feels like Darkus energy... Markus, is this you're doing? What's going on here?"
"Can someone explain this to me too?" Drago requested. "I feel a dark sensation in my body, and it's not Gargulion. What's happening to us?"
"Yeah...I feel that too... That's not Markus..."

Markus was ecstatic that Noland and Drago were still alive, but he couldn't celebrate just yet. They had to GET OUT of there to make all of this trouble count for something.
"You probably know about whatever you're talking about a bit better than I do, but right now, we're in serious trouble. I need you to stay alive and stay calm while we assess our situation," Markus instructed. "For safety reasons, I'm going to remain in your body until I feel like your bodily functions have been restored, which should be quick thanks to your awesome Switch Code power. Once you do, I'll gradually seep out of your consciousness so you can get your body back, but when you do, DO NOT move unless I tell you to, or we're all dead."
Gargulion was shushing the two Resistors as he awaited what they all came there for: the meeting. "Everyone settle down. They're about to start," he called.

A bunch of men and women in formal wear popped up around the meeting table in there. Among them were Dasia's parents, Richard and Lauren. They were Hurranian possessed, as they all were. The head scientist started walking around as he began officiating everything that went down in that vicinity.
"Okay. No more trolling. I'm being 100% serious from this point forward," he promised. "I want to congratulate our lovely Dasia Turano for securing the BT System and getting rid of an adversary that posed a serious problem to our agenda."
All of them made a clap that sounded robotic in nature. In unison, a bunch of clanking noises were heard across the room. It was jarring to the ears if one wasn't accustomed to mechanical-sounding actions.
"With our happiness being known to you, we have some...suggestions and concerns that we'd like to bring to the table here. Former Queen Turano would like to voice her suggestions, and former King Turano will happily voice his utter disappointment and has confirmed - in his mind - that you should have been swallowed."
"Um...excuse you?"
"Sorry, sorry. I don't know where that came from. Must be the personality," the head scientist apologized. "Heh heh...uh...ma'am?"
"Right..." Lauren started to speak. "Sweetie, this is such a wonderful opportunity for all of us. Since we have Noland and Drago, we could barter with Kyuki for some extra supplies to fuel our next campaign against the Bakugan. He couldn't resist experimenting with a prize like this. Stick to the usual plan from what our future son-in-law has said. We recreate the Switch Code's DNA, use it ourselves, then we can start mass producing the DNA codes to trade with Kyuki, except that we'll tamper with it so his creations fail upon them being implemented. Oh, I can see it now! The look on his face would be the best thing we've ever seen!"
"Eh...I dunno. That's a stubborn man you're talking about. He didn't care about Prometheus benefiting from the God's Tear. I don't see how this would change his mind. Speaking of which...I really need to get rid of that since I took all of the energy already. It's pretty much useless."
"Here's the catch. It won't just benefit one of his creations anymore. This energy source can stabilize much more than anything he has. There's a couple of his creations that could even make him nearly invincible to anyone of his interests if he were to acquire this potent DNA. If he refuses, than he's an even bigger fool than we already know."
"Hm...good point. You've convinced me. What other good plan do you have, mother?"
"You need a backup for the BT System, dear. In fact...I'd like to talk about your entire battle plan. Diablo 1 was a building block, then we moved to Diablo 2 once we acquired unparalleled power. Now, to get to Diablo 3, you need to have unequaled strategy. Some of our opponents are battle geniuses, and they've been getting the better of us in this regard."
"I believe training should help with that. Diablo didn't have too much time to experiment with its new abilities. We can take some time out to get it acquainted with its new power, and it'll be able to use it in ways that we aren't able to understand yet. It can also help if we analyze the situations where we were outwitted. We could establish this thought process with all Hurranians to speed up this process significantly."
"Yes! That's what I like to hear! Now, once we assimilate Noland and Drago's deceased bodies, we can go even further by adding their power onto our other creations, like Slipstream for example. Imagine how terrifying that would be."
"Is it possible to do this with the energy taken from the God's Tear?"
"Most likely not. It's very difficult to replicate its power without having a basis for it, like Noland and Drago have. Our iteration would be far inferior to the real deal if we tried it."
"Fair enough. Now, about this backup to the BT System..."
"Yes... We've come to a consensus about what we'd like to see. We acknowledge that you have a Valiant Strive-esque weapon at your disposal, the Assail System. We were not very pleased to see that five Spartans were able to overpower it. That is why we have devised a completely different weapon based on a prior creation Zenoheld devised three centuries ago. We like to call it...the Alternative."

"Hm...interesting."
"Yes... We've named it that to keep its true purpose hidden, unlike the BT in BT System standing for 'Bakugan termination.' The Admiral we infected earlier contributed greatly to this device. It is rather large, so...do keep in mind that we're still building it. We will share the location of it to you when it goes through diagnostics."
"How does it work?"
"We aren't quite sure of the level the Alternative Weapon System is on at the moment. We predict that it'll be a galactic menace, capable of wiping out solar systems in the event that we are unable to obtain what we desire."
"Hence the name Alternative, so we could simply destroy those who we're unable to take control of so they will never pose a threat to us in the future."
"Precisely."
"Perfect. I see that you've already taken the BT System off of my hands. You chose a good location to put that in. No one would ever expect it to be there. Now, we have to wait until we can use it again. Is the Alternative going to be ready by the time the BT System recharges?"
"We are working to meet that deadline. We promise to be as quick as efficiency will allow. Please proceed with our plans, regardless if the Alternative is ready or not."
"Sounds like a good plan to me."
"Very good."
"Now..." the head scientist interrupted. "Are there any more suggestions from this room that would help us in our plan to eradicate the Bakugan? Anyone? Going once...twice..."

"Oh! Oh! I have one!" a random woman called out.
"Ah, yes. The insignificant, quiet one that has no relevance to the story, what is it?" the head scientist responded, much to the chagrin of everyone else. "What? It's called staying in character. You would've said it too."
"Nevermind...I don't want to say it anymore..."
"See? Look what you did. What's wrong with you? You were never like this when you were alive."
"You're really going to talk?"
"True, true. Too bad I wasn't the one who made this poor lady sad."
"Don't worry. You're going to be next."
"Wait...what?"
King Richard cleared his throat when the head scientist gave him his cue to start speaking. There were some pressing matters that needed to be brought to her attention.
"Well...um...I'm not sure how to put this without sounding...confrontational, so I'm just going to say what we're all thinking. What the hell do you think you're doing with our forces? You're getting them killed!"
"What are you talking about? Some people are going to die anyway! It's a war! Even I kicked the bucket already!"
"So just because it's bound to happen, it's suddenly okay to just send them to their doom? The amount of Dharaknoid in the area when you were messing around with the BT System was absolutely unacceptable. I know we have numbers, but come on! Even the poor bastards at the Silver Knights knew how to manage their numbers better than you did!"
"That's too bad. I'd rather be safer than sorry later."
"And what is with your obsession with the Dharaknoid? Give it a rest already! You summon him nearly every single time you fight someone! You did it so much that everyone we're fighting against aren't even scared of him anymore!"
"He was the strongest species that we had! What else did you want me to use!? Lasermen!? Robotallion!? Those things SUCK!"
"Manage our numbers better! That's what we want! You don't have to have a swarm of this or that to cover your hide! Just take what is necessary and deploy them WHEN NECESSARY. Like, if you're fighting someone like Damian and his Helios, and you see him bombarding you with a bunch of attacks, just summon one or two members of the Fifth Paladin to guard, and then call them off to bring back later. It saves us grief, it saves us time, and it definitely saves us from having to continuously reproduce in other organisms to replace the ones that you've lost!"
"Okay...I get it."
"Remember, we our powerful, but our arrogance is our weakness. We must learn to overcome that obstacle to make us more keen on every action that we take from here. That is what I challenge you to do. From an early age, you were a thinker. Use that mind that you have for strategic dominance. We must do so if we are to achieve ultimate victory."
"I understand. I won't let the power go to my head anymore."
"Good, but I'm not done yet. Question for you. Your mother brought this up earlier, but before I say it, I want to know what you think. What are your thoughts about this Kyuki character you've partnered with?"
"Kyuki is similar to us in that we like to learn new things. I was attracted to that similarity of ours in that we could benefit one another through our discoveries."
"So it was a 'help me help you' situation?"
"Yes. There are a couple of issues though."
"Please tell."
"He obviously cannot be trusted. He's going to betray me. I know this, because betrayals are often everlasting with a resume like his. He spends all of that time with the Silver Knights, betrays them out of nowhere, and then he wants to work with someone that's directly targeting his experiment pool, which are the Bakugan, humans, and whatever else is there? I'm not buying his loyalty."
"Which is exactly why we need to show this madman the true might and power of the Hurranians!"

The things that they were hearing out of these Hurranians' mouths... It's one hell of a gold mine.
"Markus, are you getting all of this?" Gargulion asked him. It was another way of asking if Markus was understanding what was going on and recording every syllable they heard to be broadcast to the appropriate audiences later.
"Yeah...I'm using Noland's BrawlX to get it," Markus confirmed. "Who would've guessed that the Hurranians were going to betray Kyuki. I surely didn't see that one coming." He sounded as sarcastic as ever. He knew it was going to happen. He's surprised that it hasn't already happened. Perhaps the BT System almost killing everyone would be a sign of contempt since Kyuki would've been included in the mix had it been successful. Surely, even he should be smart enough to not let Dasia get away with that. Those two are about to have the civil war of the century.
"When we've heard enough, that's when we'll strike. Gargulion, I need a small version of you to scout the area. See if we can cause some trouble."
"Copy." A small, green sprite exited out of Noland's back. It seeped through the floor so it could go through the area without attracting any unwanted attention.

"So it's decided! I will make the call as soon as possible."
"Hold on. Let's not be too hasty. You won't be making the call." the head scientist popped in.
"What? Why not?"
"Because, you never let us do anything. It's always Dasia does this or Dasia does that. What about our wants? I want to call him."
"No, I want to call him." Richard countered.
"Clearly, I'm the meanest one when it comes to despicable, filthy messes like Kyuki. I should be the one to do it," Lauren interjected.
"A-are you really going to argue about this?"
"Yes!" they all said in unison.
"I don't have time for this. One of you do it. I don't care who. And if you fight over it, I'll destroy all three of you."
"After everything we did for you, you're going to threaten us? Especially me?"
"Yes, especially you! You're a creep!"
"I-I would never do such a thing. I don't look at you for just your looks. You have such a warm smile, bright personality, and all of the other bullshit that's not really true."
"You...!"
"That's what you get for betraying and killing me!"
"You know, Dasia...he could've made for a good king. He did have good political sense in addition to his scientific background," Richard admitted.
"Oh my gosh... We don't have time for this! Just put everything we need to know in bulletin form so we can get on with the operation!"
"Fine. Since someone's so RUDE in here, I guess we'll provide everything that we know and what we're going to do. Listen up, maggots. If you don't save this document and make backups of it now, then that's too bad. I'm not giving you another download link. This is your one and only opportunity. Pay attention. Here's what we're doing. Noland's body will be wagered with Kyuki. We have an idea of what he has, so begin thinking of what you want in exchange for the DNA code we'll be rebuilding. Also, we will be making arrangements to get Diablo 2 to Diablo 3. Most of that will be through strategical modifications to our battle plan. More on that later during training. There will FINALLY be less Dharaknoid deployed on the field; I know the majority of our population will be happy to hear that. Also, our units will be used more efficiently and carefully than before."
"Here are things to watch out for and keep in mind. For those of you that know where we put the Alternative and the BT System, keep your system's security up-to-date. If anyone leaks that information, that unit will be terminated immediately. If you ask where it is, you will be also be terminated. If you THINK about leaking that information, you will be mutilated beyond repair. All of you that were annoyed by our banter will change your comm channels back to our frequency or there will be severe consequences. If you yell 'stop' in your mic again, I will visit you personally, and then we'll see who gets who to stop. For all of you trolls out there that are trying to get me killed again, any pornographic material of Dasia and Roxy will be erased as soon as we detect it, so stop sending it. We know who it is, so stop it."
"There's WHAT!?"
"Additional details. Until further notice, withdraw from Earth and Vestal. Everyone report back to the designated location so we can 360 YY no scope 420 blaze it on the doctor who sexually identifies as an attack helicopter and what is this cancer I'm spewing out of my mouth?"
"Is there something wrong with you?"
"...Yes. I'm dead...because of you. I want to make this as miserable as I can for you."
"Oh, I see. You're acting like Chris on purpose so you can insult me and then take me over, aren't you?"
"Well...if you put it that way..."
"Wait, no. That's not what I meant."
"But that's what you said."
"Chris!"
"It's okay. You just wanted to say it. I'm flattered. I'll be over tonight. Meanwhile...we're making that phone call."

Meanwhile...
Location: Sahara
Everyone you look there is only wreckage, corpses, blood and clouds of black smoke all over the horizon. Mixture with the unbearable, high temperature makes this terrain quite harsh for any activity- especially combat. Battle is happening here or, at least, it has been happening- gunshots can be heard in the distance along with an explosion here and there; current area is relatively peaceful. If 'peaceful' can be identified as a giant desert graveyard. Figure in white coat walks among the wreckage and inspects the bodies and damage done to the area and weaponry. It is him, the doctor. After fleeing from the battle against Admiral and Resistor he quickly patched himself up and traveled to Sahara knowing there will be main part of the summoning there. Judging by Fina's reports Triad will be summoned in three significant geographic locations- one is, obviously, Sahara, another is Amazon forest and third is Mariana Trench. Judging by the element of each member of the Triad it is safe to assume that the leader, Thanatnos, will be summoned in Sahara, while Shiva will be summoned in Amazon and Askr in Mariana Trench. Silver Knights did an excellent job of getting rid of the cultists who were trying to perform additional rituals which would empower Triad even more. Destruction caused here must be doing of Asuka Izumo- she was the one tasked with visiting all three altars and cleaning them of this horde of cultists.
However, there was something surprising. Doctor noticed that among cultists there are members of Chrono Elite. Cultists are a part of Chrono Elite, but can be counted as a sub-organization. What he did not expect is to see original Chrono Elite being here and fighting alongside cultists against Silver Knights in order to help with summoning the Triad. Now... original Chrono Elite is allied with Kyuki while cultists are his enemy. Why would Chrono Elite decide to aid cultists in their ridiculous plan to summon something that will certainly destroy this planet? They even knew Kyuki was highly against it- why do it then? They should know that they'll get in his line of fire if they do it. And they did. Traqdrach picked up on a number of signatures around here and spotted some Chrono Elite's higher officers- they attacked Traqdrach and in exchange merciless monster gave them a gift of death. Even signature of 'super-terrorist', Cyber, came up and disappeared... now they even send HIM to fight for this ridiculous cause? "I taught you everything you know and gave you everything you have... so I know how to take it away. Why do you fail to understand...? Triad will cause a cataclysm and you will die in it... Are you so eager to die or are you ignorant? You cannot control them..." Kyuki silently mumbles as she walks across the battlefield thinking of why Chrono Elite would now work to summon Triad considering it is an utterly ridiculous and suicidal move.
Suddenly, he senses an incoming call from another annoying bunch. "What?" He answers silently. After having hours of unfortunate experience of talking to these biological failures such as Dasia and the rest of those parasites he really wishes he eradicated them while it was easier and did not require so much work. Now he needs them being annoying, and Triad, AND terrorists all in one package? Whatever they are calling him for it better be good.

Dasia was tapping her foot on the floor as she waited to see how this would turn out. She was acting a bit restless, wanting to take the reigns of the call at a moment's notice if something is said that shouldn't be said. The head scientist does have some business sense from his time with Xavier, so it shouldn't be too bad...right?
"Salutations, Kyuki. This is the Hurranian's head scientist speaking. We believe we have something that may peak your interests," he started off.
"Over the course of our business relationship, we've noticed that you have a knack for experimenting with things, so we have a new tool for you that should make the process more enjoyable for you. We have Noland and Drago's corpses with us. Now that they're dead, we can begin assimilating their DNA so we can create an accurate representation of their Ultimate Warrior Gene. We would like to share this with you, provided we can acquire something of at least equal value from you in return."

As the scientist speaks screams can be heard on Kyuki's end. Nothing to worry about- just Kyuki stumbling upon some cultists who thought it would be a good idea to ambush him and try to assassinate him. Three of them attacked him- first one tried to stab Kyuki in the neck with a knife, but got that same knife lodged inside his skull. Other one had a machine gun, but he did not quite get to use it as Kyuki pulled out the knife from cultist's head and made a headshot on the other one. Third one, seeing he has no chance, attempted to use stealth and speed to surprise Kyuki, but instead Kyuki gave him a surprise by single-handedly breaking his neck. Traqdrach had an opportunity to chew on cultists' Bakugans bodies in the process and absorbing their DNA and data.
"Go on..." Kyuki says to the head scientist.
Finally that kid and his lizard are dead. One less annoyance in the way. It is not a bad offer on scientist's end- Kyuki could definitely use both those bodies in numerous ways. Knowing this man works for Dasia then by default Kyuki does not trust him- he knows they will ask for something seemingly meaningless and it will end up Kyuki finding those corpses useless while Hurranians get good use of whatever Kyuki gives. However, it would not hurt to hear them out. Considering he is still in possession of Six Keys he might not need Hurranians or Chrono Elite anymore- God's Tear is powerful, but Hurranians are wrong if they think that is what they should have been using for BT System...

The head scientist looked back at Dasia, having a cocky smile on his face. He was silently bragging that he was able to get Kyuki interested in this little "scheme" of theirs. Dasia nodded for him to keep going, just to see how long this would hold up.
"We have to wait a little bit to run some tests on Noland's body, just to make sure his Gundalian antibodies don't automatically short-circuit us. That ability should be nullified by now, but we've never encountered a Gundalian before, so we need to be safe," the head scientist explained. "We can get started on Drago right now. We will keep their bodies in good condition so that you may be the one to do work on them, or however you want to conduct your experiments. We will also give you some of our perfect DNA codes of the Ultimate Warrior Gene. All of that is yours to keep, no strings attached."
The head scientist winked back at the other Hurranian representatives when he made that last statement.
"Tell me... What is this 'Therion System' you've been going on about?"
This statement caught Dasia's attention. She knew that there had to be an equal trade, but...this might make Kyuki a bit agitated, if not uncomfortable.

"Why don't you read my mind and find out?" Kyuki replies to the scientist.
Considering these parasites work as a giant network they should have no problem reading the minds of people who are infected... that's if someone or something is not intercepting it. Who knows what the hell that might be... Basic data of Therion system say that it will be formed of data and DNA of Lydia Andersen because of specific genetic codes that she carries. Daniel might be considered 'the strongest' of three siblings because of Deathcrown's power in his hands, but Lydia is biologically superior to any human being, Gundalian, Advent or whatever there is. It might just be a mutation inside her body, but apparently that should fuel Therion. How is that going to happen? Why is she biologically superior and other questions remain a mystery. These provided information only scratch the surface.
"Funny- I'd laugh if I had a heart. Hurranian telling me it will be simple? Now, who would not trust that in a heartbeat?" Kyuki replies after hearing scientist say what he said about Noland. 'No strings attached', yeah that seems like a legit statement for parasites who are trying to assimilate everyone. Considering how turned on they were after getting BT System which would annihilate everything good for Kyuki's plans it is not among his intentions to put a lot of trust in their word. Whatever he'd do for them they'd probably use it to pull another 'BT System' trick or some other bullshit like that.
