After walking for what seems like forever Atom notices the strangeness of the area he is in. He see glimpse of his friends got whenever he got close they would disappear. He would see his bakugan but they too would disappear whenever too got close. After a while he can begin to here whispering. When he listens closely the whisper sound like his friends. What they are talking about his weakness and are laughing at it. Then he see Grimm. But when he gets close and attempts to grab him he goes right through him. "I'm a prerecorded. You test of fears begins Atom. In order to reach me. Face your fears. They may be more true than you think."
The machines funnily enough dog pile Ivan. When they get off of him he is tied to a table. The room lights up more and he can see that it is a medical table. He can see bakugan nearby. Dressed up as though they are going to preform a surgery. He can also hear a scream. Its Alice. Ivan can see the bakugan grimace.
"The lords sister is a handful." Says the first one. "Can you blame her. Separated and she most likely woke up. I would panic to in her situation. But she is to be kept safe." Says the second one. "If she comes to harm the lord will not be happy." Says the third one as they shiver. "Well time to get started" Says the second one again.

"Well, I guess if he's not even paying any attention." I dispelled the Glamour. "So, facing my fears, huh? There's no way he could know of my deepest ones." I took note of which fears Grimm would likely exploit. "Okay, so Darkness is a big one. No surprise there." I thought the rest to myself. "He would expect most people to be afraid of Public Speaking probably, but he specified me. What other fears of mine would he know?" I tried to remember every interaction I had ever had with him, every conversation, every action, nothing. I couldn't remember anything that would've shared my fears with him. "I don't know anything in regards to him knowing any of my other fears." I looked around again, and sighed. "And I'm not getting anything done in here. Maybe I can" I looked through my lists of Hieroglyphics and their effects, and saw one that would probably work. "This is going to be taxing, but if I want to get out of here, well, I need to try." I focused my energy, and brought me hand forward. "Sun-ah!" I called. The darkness right around vanished, revealing a circle of blindingly white floor about a foot in radius around me. I focused more on the spell. "Come on, just a little more!" The circle began to widen, then suddenly exploded outwards. The darkness vanished revealing the tiny room I was in. Unsurprisingly, due to the size of the room, I was on an omnidirectional track, Something designed to keep me in place. "Now it makes sense." I said. "No wonder I couldn't get anywhere." I looked up to see a small projector. "And that's what made those illusions." I looked at all the walls, all of them only a few feet away from me, just enough so I couldn't touch them. Something was on one of them. I tried to move towards that wall, only to stay in place because of the track. "I knew it couldn't be that easy." I grabbed my sword, gripped it with both hands, and thrust it down into the track. The surface cracked and shattered, rendering it unusable. I stepped off of it, and walked over to the device. "A jammer, huh? I bet it was built to stop any Shifter from using their abilities." I reached into my pocket, and grabbed a bracelet. "Let's see if it can stop this." I put the bracelet on, and three gates appeared behind me. Five symbols in a pentagon, a golden, six-finger hand and a blob of darkness. I grabbed the hand, and focused on the jammer. It glowed, then disassembled itself. The pieces floated around, and I focused on reconstructing them in a different way. When it was done, I grabbed the jammer and put it in my pocket, followed by my bracelet. "Now, how do I get out of here?" I began feeling around the walls, trying to find the exit.
My Bakugan came across a junction, with two directions. "Well, this is just great." Said Leo. "Which way should we go?" Asked Janthide. "I don't know." Said Pyreon. "I can't sense anything." "It's all the abundant energy." Said Vladitor. "It's preventing us from sensing anything." "I think we all know what needs to happen." Said Lars Lion. "Leo, you Slight and Pyreon go to the left, while I go to the right with everybody else." "Hey! Who made you decide to call the shots?" Asked Slight. "Do you have a better idea?" Countered Lars Lion. Slight was silent. "Fair point." He relented. "The longer we wait, the more time is wasted." Said Leo. "Good luck over there, guys. We'll meet up later." "Good luck!" Said Janthide. The group of six split into two groups of three, each going down a different path.

As Atom tampered to what seems to be Grimm's trick start to fade. The room disappears and Atom is back in the same situation he began with. This time the jamming effect is much stronger.
Leo, Slight, and Pyreon are heading down the hall when they hear a growl. Around the corner comes out Gore Magala fully formed, but it doesn't look well. One of its attenna is starting to stick up and looks like it is hardening. The scales are cracking, and what looks like an eye forced shut can be seen beneath the scales. It starts to sniff about. It then changes its disposition. "Grrrrrrrr. RAAAAAAAAAA!" Its roar sends the trio flying backward. Gore Magala roars out of anger again and thrashes about. Then it turns its attention to the trio and roars. "RAAAAAAAAAA" It then charges at them.

"I see what you're getting at Grimm, and I don't like it." I said. I looked up. "You may think you know my fears, and all of my abilities, but you know nothing!" I yelled. "And I'll prove it to you!" I reached into my pocket again, and grabbed my Ocarina. "Watch and learn." I brought the blue instrument up, and began to blow a few notes. I then focused, and blew six, sharp notes in quick succession. Medium, low, high, medium, low, high. Five more notes came out of me, finishing the song. I saw time begin to reverse around me, the darkness lifted, revealing the supposed room again. Then it collapsed back in, and I had the circle of light around me. It faded, and I felt myself move backwards, only to suddenly become weightless, feel something grab me and push me out of a portal outside the tree, in the exact opposite fashion I was drawn in. I backed up, the portal vanished, and time resumed normally. "Let's see him beat that. Without this specialized instrument, he can't reverse that." I looked at the tree again. "I don't like wasting energy like this, but" I held my hand up. "Drowah!" An invisible barrier pulled up around me, and I began to head for the tree again. I knew what was going to likely happen, and saw the vine attempt to grab me again. It bounced off the barrier, and I quickly ducked inside the tree before it could try again. Then, I dispelled the barrier. I took a deep breath. "Okay, so far, so good. Now, where would he have put Ivan and Alice?" I began to walk down the corridor.
Leo, Pyreon and Slight dodged Gore's charge by mere inches. They quickly try to go around the animal, trying to stay out of sight. In their true forms, its scales were able to turn them into mindless attacking machines, no telling what could happen to them in their ball forms. All three hid in a small crevice in the wall. They huddled in a small circle. "Well, this is just great." Said Leo. "Now we're trapped." "Well, it could be worse." Said Slight. "We could be captured." Pyreon sighed, then heard something. "Quiet guys, I think I just heard something." A door creaked open somewhere nearby.
Janthide, Vladitor and Lars Lion floated down their corridor, seeing numerous doors. No windows allowed any visuals as to what was in each one. "What has Grimm been up to in here?" Asked Janthide. "I mean, how long could he have even had this place?" "I don't know." Said Vladitor. "But I don't think we should be asking questions about it. The last thing we need is for Grimm to be alerted of our presence." They came across another door, this time with one window, presumably for observation. The three Bakugan looked inside, and were surprised at what they saw. In the room was Ivan and the Bakugan that seemed about to dissect him. "Okay, that's not going to happen." Said Lars Lion. "I understand dead animals and their excretions, but not living beings." "Lars Lion, what are you" started Vladitor. She slammed into the glass hard enough to break a hole big enough for them to get through. "Okay then." The Bakugan inside turned their attention to the small sound, and saw Lars Lion. Vladitor and Janthide followed her inside. "Cease this at once!" Declared Lars Lion. "Who told you it was acceptable to dissect a living being?" The Bakugan just looked at her. "Very well." She rammed into the one's head, knocking it backwards. That was followed by Vladitor knocking into the second one, and Janthide into the third. All three fell to their backs, and my Bakugan looked at Ivan. "Uh, hey there!" Said Janthide. "So, coincidences, right?" She looked at his restraints, and quickly saw how to undo them. "We need to get him out of these restraints before they get back up." Said Vladitor. The three Bakugan they had knocked down were already getting over their shock and were rising. Janthide dashed around the table, and quickly unhooked every restraint holding Ivan down. "That was easy!" She looked at the rising Bakugan. "We should probably get out of here." She rushed over to the door, and quickly had it unlocked and open. She looked at Vladitor and Lars Lion, who were both surprised. "What? Cassie taught me how to be analytical and study every contraption for weak points. The lock had a weak front, so by hitting it in the right spot, you can unlock it without a key. Now come on, let's get out of here!" Janthide began to push the door open, and Vladitor and Lars Lion went over to help her push. The three Bakugan got up, and closed in on them. The door barely budged, and Janthide looked back. "Ivan we need some" she saw the Bakugan on top of them "help." She said weakly. "Scatter!" She flew up over their heads quickly, creating a large gust of wind behind her that knocked Vladitor into Lars Lion. "Hey! Slow down!" He called. He then registered what she said. "Uh." He looked at the Bakugan as they grabbed him and Lars Lion.

Atom keeps on walking till he encounters a door. Noticing there is no other way he opens the door. Only to enter the darkness yet again. This even more powerful in the last. "Why do you keep struggling." Rings out another voice. The darkness stirs and what rises is Atom. But with yellow eyes. "Didn't he say this is a test of fear. Grimm himself terrifies you. But. I should be way more terrifying. After all I am you." He laughs. "I am thou. Thou are I. Your fears will consume you. You are not in control." He laughs as he vanishes and the room lights up. Leonidas lies dead on the floor. Leonidas blood on Atom's hands.
Mean while with Leonidas, Slight and Pyreon. Gore Magala has Growled away whoever open the door. He sniffs around. Deciding that isn't enough. It shakes its body. Scales going everywhere. Even in small cracks. While yes unaffect in sphere mode as it turns out. It doesn't mean Gore didn't find them. In fact it is quite the oppisite as it rips open the crack with its claws send our intrepid trio flying. "RAAAAAA!" Then is fires at them with its purple flame.
Ivan now utterly confused on what is going on is getting dizzy as the fight happens. Janthide seeing this takes him out of the room. Only to encounter another one of Grimm's bakugan. A Infinity Helios with a lab coat made specifically for it. He closes his eyes sighs and rubs the brigde between his eyes. "Grimm isn't going to be happy. I came down after hearing a brawl. I'm trying to turn a subject into a chaos bakugan and now this. Janthide was too slow to react as she get defeated with one attack. Ivan now laying on the floor. Mars Lion and Validator can be heard struggling and then both gasp as they both were tranquilized. "Take them all to the Throne Observatory. They must be ready for the final moments. Grimm knew they would be coming the moment he left with Reginas.

I took a few deep breaths. "He wouldn't, would he?" I asked myself. I closed my eyes, and steeled myself. "No, he wouldn't. Even he isn't that evil. He would never kill, he just wants to cause chaos." I took another deep breath. "There's no way he would." I opened my eyes, and studied the Leonidas closely. I sighed in relief. "It's not Leo. Thank goodness. But that does raise a question. Where did he get this Leonidas from?" I shook my head. "Okay, that's not the important thing right now." I grabbed my Ocarina, and put it to my lips. "Let's see if it'll react to this." I blew the same six notes I had for Alice, and followed the song through. The Leonidas didn't react. "A fake?" I looked down at it again. "Grimm, your antics have hit an all-time low." Even if dead, wounds on something the song was played for would start to close. The fact that the wounds on the body didn't signified that it was never alive. "I need to keep moving." I walked to the other side of the room, and grabbed the knob on it. I looked back at the fake Leonidas. "I doubt even Grimm would sink to such lows." I turned the knob, and entered the next room. "This feels like I'm in a Zelda Dungeon. So many doors. The next thing I know, I'm going to run into monsters that fall from the ceiling, and need to open chests to collect keys to open doors." I walked through the room, seeing many doors. I reached for one knob and tried to turn it, only for it to be locked. "Okay, I did not actually mean for that to be a premonition."
Leo, Pyreon and Slight scattered, trying to outrun Gore's flames. "Okay, this is getting ridiculous!" Yelled Pyreon as he dodged another blast. "Is there some way for us to shut this guy up?!" Leo looked around as quickly as he could while dodging blasts. "I think I see something over there!" Leo raced over to something that nobody wanted to see but could be used. Torn fabric. "Slight, get over here! I need your help!" Slight dashed over, also trying to avoid getting blasted, and got hit by an ember of Gore's fire. "Gah!" He yelled. "That hurt!" He rushed over to Leo, and helped him lift the fabric. Pyreon got Gore's attention focused on him, and Leo and Slight worked on bringing the fabric over. "Hurry up guys!" Called Pyreon as he continuously dodged blasts. "I'm not sure how long I can keep avoiding him!" Leo and Slight quickly went around Gore's 'mouth' and tied up the fabric. Gore reacted exactly how they expected it to. It began struggling to get it off, not thinking too hard about how to get it off. It continued to thrash its head while the Bakugan quickly made their way out the same way they came.
(Grimm, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am. Janthide is a girl, not a boy. That should've been obvious by me calling her a her and not a he. And all of my Bakugan are in ball form.) Vladitor arose first, and looked around. "Where are we?" He attempted to move, only to realize he couldn't. "Huh?" He tried to look around, and could only see Janthide, and only barely. "Janthide! Wake up!" Janthide didn't stir. "Lars Lion? Ivan? Hello?" No responses. "Why am I the one who was the least affected by that tranquilizer?" He sighed, then tried to move again. He managed to rotate a little, just enough to see where he was. "I hate these things." He was inside on a tube that was familiar to him, having seen the outside of them many times. "Where did Grimm get the schematics for a Gundalian Bakugan containment tube?"

Atom attempts to open the next door. Only for it too to be locked. Then the next. Then the next. Till he has tried all the doors. Frustrated he turns back to only see more doors. "Well ain't this a treat. You lost." It is the other Atom. "Now I want to toy with you more before I flat out kill you. So here." He tosses Atom a key. The key is labeled PRIDE. "And before you ask what I actually am. Let me say. . . " As he gets uncomfortably close "I am thou. Thou art I. When the Shadow speaks to the he represents. Hahahhahahahahah!" As the the newly dubbed Shadow Atom fades away the Atom left there only has more questions. [Hope the readers at home are enjoying Persona 4 in action. Also Atom simple fix for the pronoun. Next time just pm instead.]
Leo, Slight, and Pyreon get back to the split path. Only to meet an exhausted Alice with Titania and Oberon. "Leo, and his friends. Hi." As she scoops them up. Then the six of them hear a roar. It is Gore Magala.
"Um Alice I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I don't want to fight a BLOODY DRAGON RUN GIRL RUN!" Yells Oberon. And like that Alice dashes down the hall.
They all run into the room where Ivan was and the three other chaos bakugan were. A stare down occurs. Only to end when one of them gets blasted by a purple flame. Alice screams. She rushes forward making sure to grab the ball form of the recently defeated chaos bakugan. Gore Crashes over head making fierce chase.
Valditor notices on the other side of the room is Reginas. Clearly in pain. A progress bar is on the tube. It reads 75% complete chaosification. "Ah you are awake. No need to introduce yourself Valditor. I'm Darkus Infinity Helios. Grimm head scientist. I'm leading the experimenton turning your friend into a chaos bakugan. If successful Reginas will be the same as before. But as a chaos bakugan. And if it fails. Well we will see." He walks off and presses a button. The tubes that Valditor rotates the all of them. He can see a throne. In it is Grimm. Waiting for somebody. The distance between him an the door is the size of a bakugan arena.

"Pride, huh?" I wondered. "What the heck has Grimm gotten me into this time?" My communicator buzzed, like a phone, and I pulled it out. "What's up Syark?" "You're time's halfway up." He said. "How's your mission going?" I held up the key. "It's going." I said. "But I feel like this is a Zelda Dungeon. Any way you can help me progress through it faster?" "Let me check." Said Syark. I heard the quick tapping of keys, and two items appeared out of the Communicator. One took the form of a rolled parchment, while the other appeared to be a blue cylinder. "Okay, those should help. By analyzing the different maps and compasses from different Zelda time periods, I think these will work for your current location. Give them a try." He hung up, and I looked at the map. It vanished in front of me, but the map itself was etched into my mind. I held up the compass and immediately knew where everything was, and instantly knew of one of the challenges I was about to face. I groaned. "Grimm, why?" I walked over to one of the doors, seemingly at random, and put the key in. It vanished, and the door unlocked. "You've really gone all out with this, haven't you?" I entered the room.
Leo got out of Alice's grasp, and floated next to her. "Throw me in!" He said. "I can distract Gore for a little bit. You guys focus on getting Ivan free!" "Leo, that's crazy!" Said Slight. "You know what'll happen if those scales get on you!" "Do you have a better plan?" "Uh." Slight was silent. "Leo, don't do this." Said Pyreon. "I will." "No, Pyreon. You won't." Said Leo. "I am, because I'm the only one with a shot at resisting the scales. Me and Atom are the most linked out of all of us, and we can share each other's burdens. Remember the battle we had with Grimm? Atom can help me resist the infection if I help him resist the chaotic energy from it. I have to do this, or else we will not get out of here!"
Vladitor forced himself to turn back to Infinity Helios. "Do you have any idea what you're doing?" He asked. "The experiment is going to fail! I'm 100% certain of that! And do you want to know why? Because Reginas will die if it completes!" Vladitor resisted the tube's attempts to turn him back the direction he should be facing. "You just don't get it, do you? Messing with the natural order of things is extremely dangerous! No matter how you try to change Reginas, turning him into a Chaos Bakugan will cause his power to implode on itself, killing him!" Vladitor shifted about in the tube, slowly but surely making headway. "You know what that means, right?" He turned back to Grimm. "You're adding killer to the list of bad things you have done, you know!" He yelled. "Turning Reginas into a Chaos Bakugan will kill him, cause Clate to spiral out of control, possibly kill Atom, return to the Destruction and destroy this Reality! Only a few would survive because of their Genes, and even then not long. When one's home Reality is destroyed, they last maybe minutes longer! You, your sister, everybody you know will be gone, except maybe Atom, and he will be forced to fight Clate to stop him from destroying more Realities, assuming he's even alive at that point!" The energy trapping Vladitor began to wane. "Also, one last thing. I'm going to stop it!" The energy stopped transmitting, and the top opened. Vladitor quickly flew out of the tube. "You probably don't know this, but Gundalian Containment Tubes don't work on Gundalian Bakugan! Can you guess my planet of origin?" Vladitor quickly flew past Infinity Helios and went over to the console, only to be stopped by some form of forcefield. "What?" Clate watched from Reginas's senses. "This is bad." He thought. "Looks like drastic measures will have to be taken." He began to absorb the Chaos Energy in Reginas, slowing down the conversion. "Let's see if I can give some help." The Chaos Energy allowed him to form a body next to Vladitor, and he grabbed him. "Hey Grimm, remember me?" Asked Clate. "I think it's time for that battle!"

Atom enters the room of pride. For a second there he thinks he back in bakugan city. The city is empty. Standing at the fountain are five beings. One is Clate. Three others are his other friends. The last one is destruction.
Alice grabs Oberon instead. "No. You won't last. You will be treated like a chew toy."
"Yeah like last time and that dragon is probably gotten stronger sense then." Oberon says after searching through Leonidas's memories. "Brawl me in. I don't want to fight a BLOODY DRAGON. But if Alice deems it so."
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Rise Darkus/Ventus Oberon!" A man is now standing near Alice. He is taller than her but still human sized. Has twigs in his hair, long deep forest green hair, emerald eyes, and deer legs. His skin is very pale. Gore pounces only to be rebounded and sent flying into a wall. A shield of darkus energy disappears. Oberon picks up Alice, and runs really fast and away.
Valditor is surprised to say the least when he is ripped away and pinned by Helios. "You think I don't know that. In order to prevent that I had his power drained and his body put in a super hibernation. Those weren't the only thing though. Even if his body would implode the worse that would happen are a few missing limbs. We took that many precautions. I'm no fool Gundalian." Helios grip gets tighter. We have tested this before. It turns out if you are not strong enough the bakugan dies before chaosfication. But too strong and they explode. Reginas in that perfect sweet spot. Therefore he is the perfect test subject." Helios blast Valditor. It was a really painful attack to be on the receiving end of.
Grimm looks up from what he is doing then looks at Clate, then goes back to his work. Before Clate could respond he had to move out of the way of a very fast and small beam of energy. The resulting explosion send him flying to Grimm's feet. "It is rude to disturbs one's work." The way Grimm sounded disturbs Clate greatly. Grimm picks Clate up by the throat and begins to choke him. How that is even possible is beyond Clate. "You are a fool." Valditor can hear Clate's screams. Grimm's chaos is stronger than Clate's now. How is that possible Clate doesn't know. But he is for once truly helpless.

I looked around the fountain. "Okay, what the heck does Grimm have set up here?" I looked at the statues. "At least I don't have to worry about them being real." "Hubris is the flaw of deadly pride." I looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. "Who's there?" I asked. "Overcome the flaw by rewatching it." Said another voice. The first statue lit up, revealing it to be a statue of Tom. "Tom?" I asked. A light came out of the statue, and went straight into my eyes. I covered them, and when I could reopen them I saw a battle arena. "What the?" I looked down to see me facing off against Masquerade. "No way." I saw myself throw in Robotallion, only for Masquerade to activate the gate, sending both Bakugan to the Doom Dimension. "Are you really showing me my first major defeat?" I asked. "I get it, it was a bit dumb to go after Masquerade myself, but think about it! I usually know everything about my opposition. How was I supposed to expect what he pulled?" I saw me and Masquerade set up the last round, and him prevent me from activating my Gate, followed by my ability. I saw Hydranoid defeat Leonidas, and me jumping into the Doom Gate. "Look, I remember all of this. It was dumb, yes. I thought I knew what I needed to do, yes. But it's not hubris specifically that caused that to happen. I went into the battle not to beat Masquerade, but to stop him from battling others to take away their Bakugan. It's not pride that brought about that battle." The statue of Tom reappeared in front of me. "The lesson is still not learnt." Light came out of it again, and blinded me. When I could see again, I saw myself back at the fountain. "Hubris is the flaw of deadly pride. Overcome the flaw by rewatching it." A second statue lit up, revealing Azion. I was prepared for the light, but it still blinded me as another vision appeared in front of me. In front of me was Drago, Leo, Helios and Pyreon in the stadium. Metalfencer and Spetro laid behind their respective Bakugan. "No, not this time." I said. I watched as Spectra played his Forbidden Ability, powering up Helios. I heard Dan and Drago talking about it, and saw Helios send his attack. I say myself launch my own ability, blocking the blow with my first Unitris Ability, only for Azion to use his own Forbidden Ability to defeat me and take Leo. "This time is understandable, at least. However, how was I supposed to expect Azion to use a Forbidden Card? Back home, we had both agreed that if Bakugan was ever real, we would never use them if we ever got even one. There was no way I could've expected that, nor was there enough time to react. But I do understand the first part. I expected Spectra to use Nova Blazer X. So I planned ahead. Was that really me being arrogant? I don't think so." The statue of Azion reappeared. "The lesson is not yet learnt." I was again blinded, only to be regreeted with the fountain. "Hubris is the flaw of deadly pride. Overcome the flaw by rewatching it." A third statue lit up, revealing Chaos. "Whatever you're going to show me, make it quick." I said. "I'm still on a timer." The light came quickly, revealing to me a room with Sellon, in her human form, in it. The door opened, and Dan rushed in. I followed behind, undetected. I saw Dan try to help Sellon, only for her to turn against him. She knocked him back, then knocked out Drago and Leo. I got in her way, only for Cellos, in her Bakugan Form, to break into the room and knock me out. They both took a key, Sellon with Dan's and Cellos with mine. "I get it, I've messed up in the past. But there's nothing I can do about that! Look, all of these visions you are showing me, none of them matter at this point. Right now, I'm on a mission that needs to be completed. I'm not going to stop until after I rescue Reginas!" The vision faded. "The lesson has gone unlearnt. Two chances remain." The fountain came into view again. "Hubris is the flaw of deadly pride. Overcome the flaw by rewatching it." The statue of Clate lit up, and a light was shot into me. I looked around, seeing little. Then lights began to sprout up everywhere. I was seeing out of Clate's eyes as I purified him. "Hubris is a natural trait in almost any species." Said a voice. "However, only those who can temper it, and realize they are unable to beat anything that comes their way can gain more power. This is the one example where your hubris was important. You knew you had to stop the Destruction from destroying the Bakugan Reality, so you did everything you could to stop it. That is where hubris is most powerful. It must be tempered like a blade, but if left untreated long enough must be whetted." The vision faded, leaving a blank white space. "So, what you're saying is that I need to learn that I can't beat everything?" I asked. "I already know that! I can't beat anything that comes my way, regardless of whether I know what's going to happen or not! Expect the worst, so you can plan for it. Don't miss the truth by hoping for the best. Those two lines taught to me by my writer, is that what you're trying to get me to remember? That's etched in my mind, from when I first heard it to when I die. Nothing can make me forget that." The white faded, revealing the fountain. Clate's statue remained lit as the Destruction's statue lit up. "One lesson learned, yet more remain. Learn from your mistakes, or pay the price." A light rose from the Destruction statue, and went into me. I looked around, seeing nothing. "Okay, what is this?" I asked. "A waiting room. Your time is nearly up." My eyes widened, as I grabbed my communicator. I saw that Syark had been trying to get me for a while.
"Syark, we can't keep this beam up much longer!" Said Claip. "What's Atom's status?" "I don't know!" Said Syark. "He hasn't been responding. I can't get in touch with him." Syark could only watch as the time ticked down the last ten seconds.
"How could I have let this distract me for so long?" I asked. "Why? Why do you keep me here?!" "Hubris is the flaw of deadly pride. Overcome the flaw by rewatching it." "Yes, I get it. You want me to overcome my fatal flaw, is that it? What, is this dimension testing me to see if I'm 'worthy' to face Grimm or something? Let me tell you, I don't like this at all! Release me so I may save my friend!" My bracelets suddenly flashed, and floated in front of me. "Huh?" I suddenly felt the onslaught of Chaos Energy surrounding me. "No! The beam of order energy, it must've ran out!" I felt the Chaos Energy rising in me, bringing me to my tipping point. "No. Must stay in control!" The Destruction Statue appeared in front of me. "Learn the lesson, or pay the price." A light came from it, and went into me. I looked around, barely holding on, and saw nothingness. Dark void. Few lights remained, and as I looked closer I saw most of them fading. I realized I was watching the after effects of the Destruction destroying Reality One. "You would've failed here, if Clate had not sacrificed himself for you." I saw Clate vanish, and his power transfer to me. My bracelets lit up on my wrists, and I saw the light brighten, fighting the darkness. "You lack your previous power. You resist what is possible, for fear of the unknown. You don't allow yourself to try, because you're afraid of what will happen, what could happen. You constantly face that day to day, unable to escape because you risk losing the little control you do have. But in every action you do, you face intense odds. You fight against what is wrong to bring back balance, to bring order to chaos." I could feel myself continue to slip as the Chaos Energy sunk in. "You must reawaken your power, or else you will never end the chaos for yourself, your friends, your family, your partners or your world. Chaos is not your undoing, but order is not your only source of power." I could barely feel myself. "You face a duality, one of order, one of chaos. Neither is more powerful within you, yet you hide one away, always believing that you will suffice on only one, and never paying attention to the other. That has made you weak in comparison to normal, and will continue making you weaker." I lost my will to keep the chaos energy back. "Now, accept that you have chaos within you, and accept that it is never going away. You cannot hold it in anymore. You must release it! You can no longer believe that order is the only way! However, unlike Grimm, you understand that chaos can't reign supreme. You are that balance, for you embody both aspects. Don't fight it! Embrace it!" The Chaos Energy in me continued to fill, pushing me to my limits. I felt nothing.
"Where are you going?" Asked Leo. He got no response from Oberon. "I don't think he's listening to us right now." Said Slight. Leo sighed, and stayed put. "It could be worse." Said Pyreon. He looked back and saw Gore giving chase. "Why did I say that?"
Vladitor groaned. "Did you have to do that?" He asked. He refocused on Helios. "Also, there's something you forgot to consider. I'll tell you a short story. As the Destruction took out Reality after Reality, we lost power. We got weaker. But you know who didn't? Reginas. If anything, he got stronger as more darkness took over! Did you take a precaution for that? I'm guessing you didn't, because only those present during the Destruction's reign knew of it! Atom's team, Andrew's team, those on the Infinity Matrix, and the Destruction. And guess what? Nobody else knew of it because it was never spoken of again! As you fill him with Chaos Energy to turn him into a Chaos Bakugan, you increase his power! So, what was that you said about him being in the perfect sweet spot?"
Clate struggled against Grimm's grip, failing to loosen it. He began to draw more on Reginas's Chaos Energy, trying to make himself strong enough to escape Grimm's grasp, but no matter how much energy he drew from Reginas, he couldn't match Grimm. He couldn't keep up the drain, and was forced to stop. He had reduced the percentage to 70%. "How?" He asked. Despite being choked, that didn't stop him from speaking. "How are you doing this? You shouldn't be able to!"
My vision returned to me, but weakly. I brought my hands up to try and clear them, resulting in them barely clearing up, allowing me to see that I was back in the white room. I continued wiping my eyes, slowly clearing my vision. I looked forward, only to see the five statues from before. I sighed. "So, what? Did I fail? Are you going to destroy me now?" The voice remained silent. I slowly got up. "Look, whatever that trick was, I didn't appreciate it. Do you know how bad it feels to know that you're being corrupted from the inside out? That you're losing control over everything you once thought you did? Let me tell you, it's not fun." My communicator buzzed. "One moment." I pulled it out, and answered. "What's up Syark?" "Atom, are you okay?" He asked. "Uh, yeah. Why?" "Are you sure? You said that if the Order Energy stopped getting sent to you while you were in that dimension, you would be anything but." "Wait, what?" I asked. "How long has the beam been off?" "About two minutes." I gasped. "Syark, I'll call you back." "Atom, what are you" I hung up on him, and looked back at the statues. "What have you done?" I asked. "You needed to accept something that you've been trying to keep out for a long time." Said the voice. Tom's statue disintegrated. "You've been so focused on keeping order that you haven't realized what you've been neglecting. You've been unable to accept the chaos that exists in you now, no matter what you do." Azion's statue fell apart as well. "It was up to this to make you relinquish your woes, and make you accept what you are. You started by admitting it to Ivan, but you didn't go any further." Chaos's statue went next. "You have all three aspects of Energy Twist within you. Light is your Alpha Gene. It keeps order within you." A new statue took form from the dust that came from the three that disintegrated. It looked like me. "Dark is Clate's Negative Gene." The Destruction Statue floated next to mine. "And Eclipse is, as you've probably guessed, your Omega Gene." Clate's Statue floated above mine and the Destructions. The three began to circle. "You keep balance within yourself. Your bracelets represent balance. It's not something you chose to bear, nor is it something you can give up. Not even your writer can remove it from you. It is fate, after all, that you are the keeper of balance. Not the keeper of order. Not the keeper of chaos. The keeper of balance. And now with that lesson learnt, and your arrogance honed to a finer tip, you can now keep yourself in order under the most chaotic of situations. And it's easy for you to do. You no longer need to keep order yourself. It is kept naturally." My arm began to glow, and I looked at it. Light streamed from my Attribute Wheel, then some flowed from my Energy Twist Triangle. Light came from behind me, and I could only assume it came from my mark of darkness. The three lights converged with what light was already there, and I saw a new symbol. "You may not know what is to come, but you must always be prepared. Don't underestimate your opposition. Nor should you overestimate yourself. Always do the opposite. Assume your opponent will always be more powerful than you. Then, and only then, will the power of your seal vanish, allowing you full control. You may not be able to control everything, but what little you can, you always try to. Heed these words, for they speak of what you will face." The voice was silent for a moment. "Take in the grace, forget the chase. Take what you know, and learn evermore. Your dark side reflects your light's face, and only when you take it in will you soar." The voice fell silent, and the white space vanished. I was again left with the fountain which too began to fade. "Never forget that your are more than order." I was left with just a regular room, with another key on the floor in front of me. I bent down to pick it up, only to stop for a moment. "Wait a second." I thought. I looked around, and realized I was still in Grimm's tree. "How am I even still here? The Chaos Energy around me should be melting my senses, but nothing's happening." I looked at my arm, again seeing the symbol that was left on it. I couldn't make out two of the marks, but the third one I could. It was the mark of darkness that had haunted me ever since I defeated the Destruction. I sighed, and looked away from it. "I can't dwell on it now. I've wasted enough time!" I bent down and grabbed they key, and exited the room.

Oberon after some more turns finally comes into a room. He closes the door and blocks it up with what ever he could find. Gore can be heard trying to get in. The room looks like a Sleeping quarters. A green pool in the middle of the room. Something rises out of the pool. It is Serperios.
"That was a nice bath. Oh what do we have here." Serperios lies on some rocks and yawns. "Take a dip in the hot spring. Don't worry I wont bite."
With brazen Alice pulls off her clothes to reveal a swimsuit underneath. "What. You never know when you need to go swimming." She enters the water. "So who are you?"
"Why I'm Serperios. The Guardian Bakugan to Grimm Hallow."
"Actually we did predict a power overload. So we set up a special cycling unit that puts excess chaos energy into a chaos eater pit." Helios gloats. Ivan begins to stir in his tube. So do the rest of the bakugan but Reginas. "And it looks like the rest of our guest can are waking to watch Grimm dispose of the fool in front of him. How nice." The progress bar goes down back to 70% percent. "What, but HOW?"
"Oh Clate. The answer simple. I was holding back. Going all out is no fun to me. So I hold back. Next is also my little surprise." Grimm holds out his hand. Then his beta gene appears. But Clate can tell it is a fake. It's purpose the same but the gene code is off slightly. Making it a really good fake. "Unfortunately for you. Telling Atom is out of the question. Especially if he finds out that I took the gene he gave me and made a new one. It is still binding itself to me. But it wont be ready by the time Atom Arrives. I have yet to think of a name for it yet. But still." Grimm increases the power output placed on Clate. Severing his mental connection to Atom. "Now. I'm bored. How about I make you scream." Grimm begins the long torturous process on Clate as he waits for Atom.
"So you have learned from your arrogance. You learned that you aren't always in control. And you learned you can still be more, but that it must first start with your mistakes." Shadow Atom walks into hallway of many doors. Right next too Atom. "I am thou. Thou art I. I'm am the keeper of the world may the pact be forged. For I am Atlas. Your persona has been born from the depth of your souls." The doors fade away till there is only one left. "I'm going to let you know now. If you failed your trial. I would have killed you on the spot. After all that is how we dark shadows exist. We are born from a persons darkness. Make sure you ready your key." As the shadow fades the key reads 'Fear'.

I looked at the key, and read the word silently. "What would Grimm know about fear?" I asked. "His body functions like a cartoon, and he looks death in the face daily. Whatever's going on, he's not controlling it. He might've set it up, but he has no control over it." I walked over to the only remaining door, and inserted the key. It vanished, and I opened it. In front of me was an extremely long, dark corridor. I took a deep breath, and steeled myself as I took a step inside. Two braziers lit up on either side of me, up high on the walls, lighting up a small area around me. I looked around. "I really, really hate when my words are premonitions. Or, at least, this is close enough to remind me of a Zelda Dungeon. Long corridor to the final boss." I took a few more steps, and another set of braziers lit up. I heard soft steps behind me. "Who's there?" I asked as I turned around. Nobody was there. I turned back around, and nearly fell down from surprise at who was behind me. It was Shadow Atom. "I am thou" he started. "Get to the point." I interrupted as I got up. "Spoil sport." Shadow Atom took a step back, and looked me in the eye. "So, you've made it this far. I said I wouldn't kill you, and I'll uphold that." I walked past him, and another set of flames lit. "Why the long face? You seemed so confident before." "You know, if you want to distract me for any longer, I suggest you try another method." I said. "I know how to handle annoyers. Besides, you'll have to try much harder if you want me to slow down. I'm not stopping until Reginas is free." I continued walking, and more sets of lights went on. Shadow Atom followed me. "Are you sure I can't distract you?" He asked. He got in front of me again, and I stopped. "You know you won't win." "And what do you know?" "I am thou, thou art I, remember? I know you inside and out. I know your plan, and know it will fail. You'd best let me take control so you don't fail epically." I stepped around him. "My mission is none of your concern. I'm fighting for something bigger than myself. I will not fail." Another set of lights flared up. "Got anything else to say?" "Yeah." Said Shadow Atom. He held up another key, this one larger than the other two. "You know Grimm has been watching you, right? He heard what you said, and modeled this entire section to make it true. This is his Boss Key. In order to get to him, you'll have to take it from me!" Shadow Atom ran forward, and I gave chase. The Braziers continued lighting up as I followed, lighting up the corridor. "You'll never catch me, just like you'll never stop Grimm!" He continued running, and I continued giving chase. "You think you know me so well, huh?" I asked. "Tell me, what'll happen to you if I do beat Grimm?" Shadow Atom didn't respond. "No response to that one, huh?" "I am thou, thou art I." Said Shadow Atom. "Just like Clate, I am part of you, and you are part of me. Same coin, opposite side." He continued running, and I noticed something. We had run for quite a ways, yet the exit didn't seem any closer, nor did the door I came in from seem any further. I tried to go faster, but only succeeded in getting more tired. "Now do you get it? You can't catch me, so you can't get to Grimm. You'd best let me take the keys, otherwise you'll never win." I growled as my anger began to get the better of me. His tone was quite annoying. I sped up more. "Oh, getting angry are we? Better calm down, or else you'll blow!" He slowed down, yet was getting away from me. I tried to go even faster, but he continued to get away. "Is he right?" I wondered. "Can I really not beat Grimm? Can I really not catch him?" I started getting tired, and I knew I was almost out of energy. I burned through my anger, converting it into a false energy to keep myself going just a little more. "No, he can't be right! I have a job to do, and no shadow is going to stop me!" I then remembered something.
"Take in the grace, forget the chase. Take what you know, and learn evermore. Your dark side reflects your light's face, and only when you take it in will you soar."
"Take in the grace, forget the chase." I said. I immediately stopped running, planting my feet down. I took a deep breath, and began to think. "Take what I know, and learn evermore." I looked around, taking in what I knew. "I'm stuck in place, and he gets to just continue on as long as he wants. He's outpacing me effortlessly while I expend all my energy in one spot." I looked ahead, at the door. "Hold on, that door." Images flashed into my head. "No matter what happened, the boss door always had a huge lock on it, one that only went away after you put the key in. If this door has no lock, then that means" I realized what I was doing wrong. "I get it now." I thought about the rest of what I was told. "My dark side reflects my light's face, and only when I take it in will I soar." I smiled, then took another deep breath, calming down. I took one step forward, followed by another. I leisurely walked down the hallway, braziers lighting up as I walked. I slowly approached the opposite door instead of staying in place. I soon caught up to Shadow Atom. "Still think I can't catch you?" I asked. Shadow Atom smiled at me. "No. I just wanted to test you one more time to see if you really were ready." He dropped the supposed key, and it faded to nothingness. We continued to walk. "So, do you finally accept that you have your flaws, and that you must constantly focus on them?" "I always have." I said. "I just never knew how badly I needed to focus on them. I've always assumed my knowledge would see me through, but now I realize something more. It was a lesson I learned from Genesis Dragonoid, but I had forgotten it after we defeated the Destruction. I can't plan for everything. I can't assume anything. I can only go off of what I know, and what I don't know I can't just assume." We approached the door, steps away. "I think you're understanding better, now. Good luck." Shadow Atom stepped into me, and vanished. Four lights appeared around me, and vanished into my body. I smiled, and turned to the door. "Now, to open you."
Pyreon would've face palmed if he could. "Really? You pick now of all times to take a swim?" He sighed. "Gore is still following us, you know." A dull thud came from the wall. "Any way you can think of to get around him?" "Also, you can never trust Serperios. He's a snake." Said Slight. "Not physically, of course, but you get the idea." "Look, this isn't getting us anywhere." Said Leo. "I hate to say it, but Serperios, can you assist us a little? I'm guessing you know this place like the back of your hand, right? So it shouldn't be too difficult for you to tell us where we would need to go to avoid Gore, right?" Pyreon and Slight just stared at him. "What? If we want to avoid Gore, we need the help of someone who knows his way around this tree. We don't have many other options here."
Janthide stirred first. "Huh? Who turned on the lights? What time is it?" She asked. She looked around, and realized she couldn't turn. "Oh." Her memory came back to her. "Right." She looked at Grimm torturing Clate. "Okay, this is bad!" She tried to move, only to be met with extreme resistance. "Okay Janthide, think. How did Vladitor teach me to get out of these?" She focused, then tried to turn again. She made marginal progress. "He did say these things were extremely effective against Neathian Bakugan. I hope I can get out!" She continued to struggle, while beside her, Lars Lion woke up. She looked around, more freely. "Grimm has been a naughty boy." She commented as she quickly dislodged herself from the energy, and popped open the top. She floated over to Janthide. "Need some help?" Janthide looked at her. "How did you just" "Don't think about it too hard, dear. Here." Lars Lion floated up to the top of the tube, and popped it. Janthide immediately sprung out of it. "Thanks!" She said. They turned to Vladitor and Helios. "Shall we help him?" "Of course." Said Lars Lion. "You want to take his head, or free Vladitor?" "You choose." Lars Lion flung herself at Helios's head. "Okay then!" Janthide quickly followed suit. As Lars Lion hit Helios in the head, Janthide rammed into Vladitor, getting him free of Helios's grasp. He shook himself off. "Thanks for that." He said. "Of course, I would've preferred it sooner, but beggars can't be choosers." "You're welcome!" Said Janthide. Lars Lion floated next to them. "Friendly bantering aside, I suggest we move from this location. He's recovering quickly." The three looked at Helios to see him shaking his head. "Hide!" Said Janthide as she took off, again ramming Vladitor into Lars Lion. "Again?" He asked. "Seriously?!" He and Lars Lion both took off in different directions, hiding as quickly as possible as Helios recovered. However, all heads turned to one of the doors as it opened loudly. "Yes!" I said. I tried to walk into the door, only for it to close on me. "No!" I looked back at the mechanism that I had rigged up. "Okay, I need to realign that, and tighten that." I continued making fixes on my mechanism, trying to get the door to open again. "Is he really?" Asked Janthide. The door opened again, and I stepped in before it closed. "Guess what, Grimm?" I said. "I'm here to take back Reginas!" "Atom!" Called Clate. His body faded a bit as he attempted to relinquish his physical form, but it became solid again in Grimm's grip. "Okay Grimm, I'll say this once and only once. Let my friends go, and nobody gets hurt."

Once Alice puts the rest of the bakugan into the water they all of the sudden are fully formed. Oberon has already jumped in before Alice. "Now Leonidas I would like to help you. But you all are now on the door above the throne room. Enjoy your fall." All six of them fall. Leo, Pyreon, Slight, Alice, Titania, and Oberon into the commotion that is the laboratory observing the throne room. Crashing right into one of the consoles. The console in question frees Reginas. Without power, and physically and mentally drained. He can barely speak for that matter. Alice land on the pile caught by Titania. Who is sitting on Oberon. On top of the dog pile that is Slight Pyreon and Leonidas at the bottom. "Snakes. Always so, so. What is the word I'm looking for Titania" ask Oberon. "Sneaky dear." Titania replies. The trio get off the dog pile but Pyreon and Slight are very dizzy. Then Grimm says something.
"This is very unfortunate." The way Grimm speaks sends chills down everyone's spines. "Things can't just go my way." Grimm takes off his mask with his free hand. His brown eyes begin to glow. He the wraps Clate in chained energy and levitates him away. Still his prisoner. Grimm begins to glow.
As this is going on Helios at the very displeasure of everybody else and telling them he wont do anything and will keep to his word. He walks over to Reginas and whispers in his ear. "When they are distracted come to me. I have something I need to tell you before you leave. You should be able to walk in a moment. Do not say anything or the price will be to great for anybody hear to pay." Helios walks away with a smirk on his face.
The tree moves. Re-arranging everyone. Everybody but Grimm and Atom appear to be on the side lines. While Atom and Grimm are on opposite ends of an arene. Grimm's beta gene floats out of him. But black then it slowly turns silver. The energy waves coming from it are threatening to blow Atom off his feet. He can sense the merge of an gene of order mixed with the chaos seed's power. Creating a whole new gene. The gene extends itself, and a one from Grimm. Then they connect, and wrap around him. Clate is now appears still trapped, and behind Grimm. In a cell made by the tree binding him to it. Grimm's cloak extends. Turning into a black flame. "Well Atom are you ready. For you see. There is no turning back." Atom can feel this burn into his head. With everybody else too. 'The Black King - Grimm' (The theme for this fight in case anybody was wondering. It would start right after Grimm says no turning back.)

I could feel the energy waves fade as Grimm's created gene went into him. His transformation caught me by surprise, but I knew what I had to do. "Grimm, all of this, and you think I would turn back?" I asked. "You must not know me well." I brought my left hand up, and my Attribute Wheel burst to life. "Even amongst the chaos, I try to bring order. And amongst the order you bring chaos. But only recently did I learn what that truly meant. You're fighting against something that you won't beat, not this time Grimm. I can already tell that the thing you've made is unstable, conflicting, dangerous. And as a keeper of balance, it's my duty to make it stable, lest you lose control." I reached into my pocket, and pulled out my Ocarina. "Let's see what you can do!" I put it to my mouth, and blew three descending notes followed by three ascending ones, the last one two steps higher than the one before it. A moment passed, then the same six notes echoed back. I played the notes again. Three new notes echoed back. Low, medium, low. The song looped again, echoing off the walls of the tree. "Time to bring Order to Chaos! This song was once called Oath to Order. Let's see if you can overcome it!" Extra order energy began to flood into the chamber as the song continued to echo. Reginas slowly came to, and regained control of his arms. He slowly struggled to make his way over to Helios, curious as to what he meant. As he got close to Helios, he turned to Reginas. It seemed as if he was smiling.
Clate drew his sword and sliced against the bars holding him in the cell. A few sparks came off of it, but that was it. He sliced again, and again, not getting anywhere. "What the heck has Grimm done?" He wondered. He put his sword away, and his hand glowed black. The bars did as well, and slowly began to retract. Clate began to struggle to hold the energy, and fell to his knee. The bars returned to normal, leaving him still trapped. "I hope Atom knows what he's doing." The music echoed into his cell, and the order energy began to counter his chaos energy. "That might actually help. If all of my chaos energy is negated, I'll vanish, and it'll allow me to reappear next to him. I just need to hope!"

The tree begins to glow. Faint wisp of energy begin to float up. It is pure order energy. It gathers in Grimm's right hand. Then the tree glows purple. It is pure chaos energy. It gathers in Grimm left hand. His brown iris eyes turn silver like the gene. The energy collected form their own scythe. Grimm raises the scythe made of order and swipes it. The song stops. The wind pressure alone send Atom off his feet. He then stabs it into the tree. The scythe made of chaos gains strings. "I heard your song now hear mine." He plays the scythe like a harp. Each note bringing depressing thoughts. Sorrow rings out. He stops playing and the strings fade. He grabs both scythes and instantly teleports in front of Atom the blades getting uncomfortably close to his neck. Grimm takes not of something and so does Atom. Atom noticed that the iris of Grimm's eyes have an attribute wheel in them fully formed. Fully functional. Grimm speaks. "So you can cry. You have become stronger then."
