"I agree with you, but battling is the last thing I need right now. I think I'll take Kianna's advice and just cool down for however long I have," he decided. "I know someone who may know someone that will take your offer though. That way, we're both taken care of."
"And who might that be?" Dharak wondered.
"Hm...Ms. Wolfe, where does Noland live?"

Noland was currently in his house talking with Allen and Kendrick about Jenna's abduction and what they saw at the crime scene. The way Noland was going off suggested that something just wasn't sitting well with him.
"Look, I know this is some crazy conspiracy theory, but I really think that Tinsley is one of them," Noland strongly believed. "Yes, Gladion losing control of his powers near him is a coincidence, but there's a power that I can feel coming out of him. No ordinary human does that."
"I can vouch for everything he's saying, by the way," Drago included.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he's responsible for his own daughter's kidnapping... What if Jenna isn't actually his daughter?"

"Even if you're right - which I know you are - what do we really do about him?" Allen wondered. "We could convince Nero since he knows about our abilities, but what about when it comes to everyone else aside from the Silver Knights? We can't even get near the Knights or Eden without someone salivating over your powers and whatnot. The only chance we got is taking him on ourselves, and that'd make us prime targets to get thrown in the same place that Tank and Markus went to. The Army WANTS us to mess up too. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to lose track of how many enemies we got."

"I'm not really sure how to weigh in on this, but from what I'm hearing, maybe you can't do anything to him if you're not willing to get your hands dirty," Kendrick believed. "Noland brought up an interesting point. What if Tinsley orchestrated this entire thing? What does that say about the operator, because we just found out ten minutes ago that Jenna actually called the police before she was kidnapped?"
"It'll go right back to the point that we have Noland and Drago and they don't," Krakix brought up. "They can only go by what the law tells them to do. How are they gonna find out what Tinsley is all about if they can't even tell that he has power? I mean, Noland and Drago are the only ones who can sense him right now. Siege?"
"..." Siege waited a bit to see if Krakix was going to interrupt him as always. "Don't confront him," Siege proposed. "As it stands right now, we can't get him. We just have to accept that."
"Really now...?"
"Everyone else that the Resistors have battled were widely considered to be enemies. This man that you speak of is a civilian in their eyes. Until we have proof that we can show that'll convince law enforcement to act, then we're no match for him."
"...I can't come up with a counterargument against that logic," Kendrick admitted. "It sucks too. This group is after one of our own and we can't stop him right now. I'm not used to that."

"Tank and Markus are the best ones when it comes to gathering intelligence. If even Tank can't figure out what happened around him - assuming that it wasn't a coincidence that Gladion messed up around him - then Siege may be right... It still irritates me to know that Jenna is in the same household as a man who has energy that no other human is putting out, at least not to the same degree as him."
"You think it was punishment for losing the battle against Alana and Hydranoid?" Drago considered.
"Could be," Noland shrugged. "Darius probably knows more, but he's taking a nap right now. I'd rather keep the police's knowledge of him hidden though, so I'm trying to come up with something to make it look like we found it out ourselves."
After saying that, Noland heard a few knocks on the door. He looked in the direction of the door. He was very surprised. "They came here...?" he asked. He walked on over and opened the door. He saw someone who looked slightly similar to him, and Rafe was just there.
"Um... How do you know where I live?"

"Ms. Wolfe gave us your address," the Emperor quickly answered. "Also, she told us you were keeping Bee Striker nests near here to ward off unwanted guess and/or to mess with people. We saw them."
"We should try that with the Longfly back home," Dharak suggested.
"Yeah, so, can we come in?" the Emperor requested. "I hope we're not intruding or anything."

"Right... Of course she would..." Noland sighed. "Alright. Come on in." Noland led the Emperor and Rafe inside of the house. He took them to the common spot: the family room. "You've already met Kendrick, my younger brother...our younger brother, Emperor. This is Allen, the strongest guy we got. Allen, this is Rafe from Neathia and Emperor Barodius, my half-brother."

"You lost me when you said Kendrick was his little brother too," Allen admitted.
"They have the same mother," Drago clarified.
"...Okay," Allen accepted. He was still confused, but he just left it at that.
"And she's still alive," Drago added in.
"...How come I'm just finding out about this now?" Allen complained. "I already had a tough morning for...um...reasons that you will not ask about...and now you have to hit me with this. I mean, that's the biggest plot twist I've seen in a long time."
"Anyway, it's good to meet you both." Allen got up to shake both of their hands. "Just like Noland said, I'm the strongest Subterra brawler you're going to find around here. You need me to bust something down or defend you from whatever's coming at you, just let me know. Any friend or brother of Noland is just the same to me."

"Well met, Allen," the Emperor accepted. "Yes, our mother is alive and well back on Gundalia. She works as my secretary. I'll be sure to let her know you were here. You seem to be close to her."
Now that he was inside of Noland's house, the Emperor got out of his human disguise and assumed his Gundalian skin. It was a breath of fresh air for him. Something about looking like a human was too foreign to him...
"Well, I'd rather not have you ask us any questions to figure out why we're here, and I'm not a very good liar when I'm here on business," the Emperor expressed. "Noland and Kendrick, you remember Fabia, right? Princess of Neathia? Did she appear on this planet at all?"

"Not that we know of..." Kendrick answered. "Our faces have been glued to the TV watching the news for the past three hours. Haven't really made time to check for any visitors."
"Drago, did you notice anything?" Krakix asked.
"Nope," Drago responded. "Not unless they showed up this morning while we were asleep."
"...Did something happen to her? Is that why you're here?" Kendrick started to piece together.

"Yeah...something happened..." Rafe nervously confirmed. "She got kidnapped by Neathia's Mother, and our Queen tracked her to this planet."
"What?" Drago asked with a great deal of surprise.
"That sounds very bad, especially for me since the Queen's gonna have my head, but we got this under control," Rafe assured everyone. "In fact, it's so under control that we can't do anything about it until they show up... Wolfurio, I don't wanna die..."
"Alright, calm down. We're gonna be just fine," Wolfurio urged. "Like Rafe just said, we can't really do anything about the situation until they show up. We know that they're planning to sacrifice her."
"Sacrifice? Why didn't you say that earlier?" Dharak complained. "We caught those bastards trying to sacrifice children near the castle."
"They did what!?" That's what they were doing on Neathia too!"

"...They're sacrificing children, huh?" Noland seethed. "Alright... Count me in on your little investigation. I have a BIG problem with that."
"So both Jenna and the Princess are in their hands then?" Drago summed up. "Is Aranaut with them too?"
"Who's that?" Aranaut popped up and asked.
"He lost his memory after getting one-shotted by Neathia's Mother," Wolfurio cleared up.
"You're lying..." Drago stated in disbelief.
"Was there anything either of your targets said that stuck out to you?" Noland wondered.

"Yes...she did..." Rafe recalled. "Mother Bowen - that's her name by the way - said something about Fabia's animosity towards the Gundalians. It's a touchy subject, but her fiancee was killed by one of them during our war, and - for the lack of a better word - she hates their guts. She has gotten better over the years, but she's still holding onto some things from the past... She can't quite move on from it it seems."
"To them, it sounds like sacrificing the Princess means saving her," Wolfurio mentioned. "Sounds ridiculous, but these are crazies we're talking about here."

The Emperor paused briefly to give a moment of silence for Fabia's fiancee. The person responsible for his death was...the Emperor himself. Rafe was a pal for not mentioning that it was him who did it. That will definitely be remembered.
"Father Lyles went after kids who didn't have the best of luck," the Emperor recalled. "Homelessness, abusive parents, mental illness, these were all things he valued with these children. He wanted the ones with the most hate so they could revive their Savior."
"It sounds like a pattern," Dharak noticed. "Look for the ones with the most hate, sacrifice them, and then pour all of that into the revival of their god. It looks like they primarily target children since they have the most hate, or so they must think."

Noland became wide-eyed when he heard from both of them. A wave of terror just washed over him. He has never been this fearful of anything in his life.
"Kendrick, mission control, NOW," Drago ordered. Kendrick quickly ran up to his room without delay.
"Betadron!" Noland seethed. "Dammit! The cops are still trying to find Alana right now, and I'm the one who fucking called them!"
"You did what you were supposed to do. Let's not worry about that," Drago urged him. "Right now, we need to find her and get her out of there before the Tribunal gets her too."
"Not just her... We need to get Tracy and Seiki off the streets as well. Hey, Kendrick!" Noland started yelling so that Ken could hear him from downstairs. "Call Markus! Tell him to hide Tracy! We're going after Alana and Seiki! And tell Nero exactly what we're doing!"
Noland then looked at both the Emperor and Rafe. "You guys want to help us out here?"
