"..." Allen couldn't deny that he was thinking about a lot of things. A lot of it was the unknown. What he did know was that Jenna was very worried about his mental state. Alana would usually do this sort of thing. Having Jenna be here instead made it feel different in a way.
"You're right... I guess so much has happened, I couldn't help myself from trying to predict the next big battle, whatever that looks like now," Allen admitted. "I'm sorry, Gorem. I know it's not like me to do this sort of thing."
"I'm glad it came out before we're in the fight of the century. It just means you're normal," Gorem gladly excused. "No matter what happens, it's all the same. We're the shield. We guard against whatever comes for us. We don't have to know about anything. That's just what we do."
"Right," Allen agreed with a nod. "Okay... I'll need a minute for my blood pressure to go back to normal... I'll be fine though. Thanks, Jenna. I won't let you down."

"Just do your best," Jenna requested. She then glomped Allen without warning him. "Calvin's strong. Very strong. But, so are you. You have to be. You made it all the way here. Now show everyone what the Iron Juggernaut can do!"
After having a minor fangirl moment, Jenna released Allen and went about her business.

The hug stunned Allen. It took Gorem by surprise as well. He had an interesting view on where this friendship was at the moment. "She seems to be coming around quickly," Gorem noticed. "...I think I can see why."
"..." Allen couldn't provide a comment on it, but Gorem did want to make something clear:
"You remember how she came to us... Be careful." He just left it at that. Allen nodded a few times. He then closed his eyes for a bit to get himself together. The battle was going to start in just a few minutes. In the meantime:
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your patience. Ultimately, an anonymous member of the audience filled the bottomless pit Noland and Drago created. Before any of you ask who it was, please don't... I may or may not have been threatened to keep my mouth shut..." Yuji revealed. "...Anyway, enough of me being scared beyond my limits. We have to talk about this last battle, because that is making everyone even more nervous about the final showdown."
"I have to ask... You all saw what Noland did to Jimmy. How in the world did anyone think that the Resistors were not as strong as their reputation says they are, and even have people believe them? I really want to know, because a rising star who we all believed stood a chance at giving Calvin a challenge, he just got destroyed with minimal effort." Miko sighed in disbelief at what a certain section of the community was doing to the Resistors' reputation. It didn't make any sense.
"To be fair, you kinda believed that rhetoric. You did say that you thought that miracles allowed the Resistors to make it this far."
"Do you want to stay alive, Yuji?"
"Alright, alright. I'm just saying. I'll admit. It made sense at the time. We have been watching many of these people for a long time. Sadly, many may think that becoming a hero doesn't mean you have any special power or skills. It's just that you were in the right place at the right time, and did the right thing at that moment. It wouldn't surprise me if people believed that many of these pros could've done an equal or better job at fighting evil than the Resistors did. There's also the thought that people just downplay them just because they don't want them to make it to the top. I can think of many times where even we were talked down upon, like, 'You're never gonna be this or that, so stop trying.'"
"...I have to agree with that. It was said that Jimmy was as strong as Noland...and that was before we were aware of the exosuit. Heronix was one-shotted... ONE-SHOTTED."
"Heronix beat Drazardon in base form with one of his Battle Gear. That same Heronix who struggled with Drazardon getting one-shotted like that... It really has you question more than just Noland and Allen's strength. What does this say about where people rank Calvin? We know that, from the battle against the Spartans, Noland and Allen each have forms they can use to power-up with. But just at the base...Drago manhandled Heronix who was at his absolute strongest. AT THE BASE, and plenty of people were thinking that base Heronix would be a challenge for Calvin? I'm very concerned about Calvin's chances right now. I know he has his reputation, but after what we saw, I'm very afraid for him right now."
"It's weird... And we're probably gonna get flak for this, but I have to agree. I'm also concerned that we're gonna see an upset here. We can't forget about what Jenna did to DeAngelo earlier in the day. If Jenna is a step below the Resistors, and she was able to defeat DeAngelo, then...I'm afraid as well. I have nothing but love for Calvin, but if there was any time to be concerned about him potentially losing, this is it right here. I'm always in Calvin's corner no matter who the opponent is, so take it from me. This is going to be all-out war, and there is a good reason to be concerned about how Calvin gets out of this."
"We all still have time to get over this fear in our hearts...but not too much time. Calvin vs Allen...up next."

Calvin stood near his respective hallway to the battlefield. He couldn't get his mind off of his daughter. She was never worried about an opponent before. She was always so confident in his abilities despite how young she is. It made him feel good knowing that she was brimming with excitement over his impending victory. But, it was different, and Calvin was struggling with how to keep her in good spirits no matter what happens.
"Feeling troubled, kid?" his Bakugan inquired. The entity didn't show itself. It was possibly hiding somewhere within Calvin's pristine purple jacket.
"There's one thing that sucks about being undefeated: your daughter knowing that you're undefeated. She doesn't know how to handle the possibility that I may lose," Calvin realized. "And if I do, I'm wondering how down in the dumps she'll be. I don't plan on that happening, but..."
"You know it'll be bad. That's all we need to know. Don't plan for it, but...plan for it," it figured.
"Yeah... I have to find some way to teach her about losing," Calvin agreed with a short laugh. "Well...I know this is probably the worst time to say this, but... Thank you, Dragonus. I'm glad we got to know each other."
"...The feeling's mutual, but... This is because of the visions..." Dragonus felt.
"I saw him get taken down by that black monster... It shrieked 'Stigma' before it...yeah. It reminded me about how blessed I am, how blessed we all are. I wouldn't trade it for anything."
"..."
"What happened to him makes me want to fight in his honor. Him, Rumi, Nia, and you even. We've made it this far together. We're stronger than we've ever been. And even though I don't care about my record, the fear of seeing Nia cry makes me want to give 200%. I'm hoping you can handle it."
"Whatever you got to give, I'll hold it in... That much, I'll promise," Dragonus expressed. The way that was said peaks interest... What does Calvin 'give'? And, if that is to be taken literally, why is Calvin hoping Dragonus can handle it? Interesting...

Yuji and Miko looked nervous before going back on the air. Even when they went live again, anyone could see the fear on their faces. Many onlookers could feel the same way. This was a scary time.
"This is it..." Miko nervously sighed. "We made the matchups, so we knew we'd be here. I didn't imagine we'd get here like this. It's gonna be a heartbreaking loss for one of these gentlemen here, or - best case scenario for everyone - a draw. I'm personally hoping for a tie, but...who knows. Yuji, any last thoughts before we're stressed out from the battle?"
"...There's too much to say about this...but I don't have time to say all of it," Yuji regretted. "I almost don't want this battle to happen, because I'm afraid of either outcome just like with Noland and Jimmy. This hits closer to home with me though... Calvin's my buddy... I don't want him to lose more than I don't want Allen to lose. That's just how it is. I can't ignore the threat Allen poses though. We all know it, even if some people don't want to accept it. So, unfortunately, we have to know how this ends. I'm sorry for either outcome. I really am."
"I am too... We'll go ahead with this before we change our minds... Out of the blue corner, he's the reigning champion of the pro league. Like DeAngelo, he is one of four to be crowned a 'King/Queen of Brawler', and he's the strongest brawler that has ever participated in competition. He has NEVER lost a battle. It's LA Dynasty's finest, Calvin Kuro!"
Calvin walked out into a barrage of applause. The intensity of it all nearly made him jump in fear. He was conditioned to having the loudest reactions to his presence, but this was totally different. But also, he could feel the worry from Rumi and Nia in his heart. He had to take a deep breath before he stepped on his platform. Everything pointed towards this being a very ugly battle. He knew it, but he had a throne to protect. That kept him sharp, and he'll need it too.

"In the red corner, he's the most durable civilian in history. This Resistor is notorious for being considered Noland's equal. In fact, rumor has it that he played as big of a role in the Hurranian war as Noland did," Yuji introduced. Indeed, if it wasn't for Allen, Noland wouldn't have made it to the battle that he saved the world in. "He's the Iron Juggernaut, and superior to Benjamin Powers in every way! It's Allen Silva!"
The applause was equally as loud as Calvin's was. It sounded like everyone was all-in on this battle. Allen was alright with this. Everyone will witness him becoming the best brawler in the world, or shocking the world by losing. Either way, the spotlight was on him now. He had to perform. He just had to...

The usual meeting in the center happened once Allen stepped on his platform. Calvin took a deep breath before saying anything. This was usually when his opponent would give the 'Your reign is over!' speech. Not this time though. Allen was very chill. That made Calvin happy in a way.
"...I expected all of you to be strong, but even I'm blown away by just how much," Calvin expressed. "I'm not even sure you want to hear this from the guy you're about to fight, but I've always wanted to tell one of you this: I appreciate all of the sacrifices you made. I know getting here had its challenges and losses, but I'm glad you all made it. I'm honored to be able to test myself against the greatest group of brawlers out there."
"...Don't let that fool you though. I still have to keep proving myself, so defeating just one of you will show everyone just how strong the pros really are. I'm not holding back here. This one's going to be for the record books," Calvin warned Allen. He then extended his hand to offer a pre-battle handshake. "I wish nothing but for the best for you. Good luck."

"...Have to admit. I thought you were gonna be like Benjamin with the whole 'I was always better than you' speech. Except this time, you could actually back it up," Allen shared. He then shook hands with the champion. He wasn't shaking or having a midlife crisis either. "I've heard from a lot of people. You're not just strong. You're an inspiration. Whatever happens from this, I hope that stays true." The ref came over to check on things. By then, they got tired of reiterating the same things. They just asked the brawlers if they knew the rules and sent them on their way. "It's about to start..." Yuji dreaded. "This will be among the greatest victories or defeats in the history of competition regardless of how this ends," Miko noted. "I hope that your favorite wins...for all of you...and I'm sorry if your favorite loses..."( vs Calvin)

Calvin closed his eyes for a moment and breathed slowly. Once he got himself composed, he reached into his right jacket pocket. He gripped Dragonus. "Bakugan brawl! Stand, Dragonus!" Calvin shouted, making him one of the few in the competition to say it. A Darkus Bakugan rolled onto the field and stood: Dragonus' appearance ignited the stadium, as expected. Calvin's BrawlX then projected holograms of six cards in front of him. The purpose of this would be revealed shortly. As for Dragonus himself, he looked odd. That's because he belongs to a very uncommon species: Razenoid. In another universe, Razenoid is a heavily mutated Dharak. Here, there is no template for it. It is its own species. They're scavengers who assimilate old materials for a variety of purposes. Dragonus has some beefy armor that also allows him to roll around. Retractable arms and hands that can shift to arm cannons round up the features. Is there something that Calvin has hidden though...?

"Ah shit..." Noland grieved. "No wonder why he's invincible..."
"...Really? How can you tell...?" Jadyn inquired. She didn't know about Noland's abilities.
"I can sense power levels," Noland plainly explained. "I'm surprised to say this, but...his power level is about equal to Ahio's."
"Huh...that's interesting..." Jadyn remarked.
"...I don't think I can say that he's just like the Andersens out loud... Calvin infused Dragonus with Achron energy the moment he grabbed him..." Noland kept to himself.

Dragonus being around Ahio's level should concern Allen. For one, no one except the Resistors know where Ahio stands on the power scale. For all anyone knows, Ahio could be stronger than Drago. Obviously, that's not the case, but no one can determine that better than they can. Second, that means that Dragonus is strong enough to pose a challenge. It remains to be seen how challenging; however, if Achron is involved, then Calvin may perform at a higher capability than his power level suggests, like Alex and Lydia can. Daniel is...who really knows.
"Here we go, Gorem. Have to do the impossible, or never call ourselves the Iron Juggernaut again," Allen believed.
"We've done the impossible plenty of times. We're ready," Gorem said with confidence. He helped himself onto the battlefield and stood straight up. He got in a boxing-ready stance.

"That's Gorem? Wow..." Calvin marveled. He snapped a quick photo of Gorem with his BrawlX. This is a usual habit whenever he encounters an opponent he's a big fan of.
"My reputation echoes, but don't let that stop you. Let's make it a good one!" Calvin expressed before engaging Allen. "Activating Silver Booster!" Calvin tapped a hologram in front of him that looked like a card. It disappeared when it went into play, and another card took its place.
Dragonus' right arm shifted to an arm cannon. A gray, trailing laser blast left the barrel. Strangely, on the laser's left and right sides, a trail of light extended all the way to the walls. This resulted in a wave of energy existing where the laser blast doesn't directly impact. This wave of energy suppresses opponents and makes them receive more damage from the next direct attack. So, this means if they choose not to contest the laser blast, they'll be stacking up extra damage that they could take from being hit by something else.
It didn't help that Dragonus continued to shoot this as if it wasn't a one-time thing. The rate of fire was slow though at about 3 seconds between each shot. Still, he was shooting it...

"Oh man... Here it goes..." Allen sorta groaned. "Ability activate. Steadfast Golem." This was a spin on an old favorite, Unshaken Fort. It was now a continuous ability, meaning Gorem could anchor himself whenever he wanted. And when he does, his defensive parameters go up by double of what he can do normally. That's without factoring in the potential energy he could gain from remaining where he is.
This let Gorem easily contest Dragonus' laser blasts. He was able to project a shield using his energy. It protected Gorem from any and all devastation. "This ability's a lot smoother than I remember. Nice!" Gorem took note of.
"Not to showboat so early in the battle, but we're here all day," Allen alerted Calvin in case he hadn't noticed.

Calvin didn't show any signs of faltering knowing that his attack wasn't working. He just tried something else to get around the barrier.
"Activating Silent Lock!" Calvin tried. He tapped a card in front of him, and then another replaced it. So, with this, viewers can see that he has cards out in front of him that he's tapping to activate. Is he using a deck of cards...?
Multiple flashes of darkness occurred all over the field. When it concluded, the opponents' point of view should be drastically changed. In their eyes, they should only be able to see a dreary, purple haze of darkness. They can see nothing else, not even their opponent or his/her attacks. Can Allen and Gorem defend against something they cannot see?
"Activating a special ability, Karmic Pulse!" This is where things got weird. Dragonus' figure disappeared completely. He was replaced with...DeAngelo's Scorpion???
"I'm too nervous to commentate..." Yuji admitted.
The 'Dragonus Scorpion' casted Karma, a technique belonging to DeAngelo. With this, the Scorpion released a ball of light that expanded into a force-field. Like last time, if one is within this force field, any attack they declare will be inflicted upon them. Calvin figured he should have this active on the field while Allen and Gorem may not know that it's there. He could potentially catch them by surprise.
Once this was activated, Scorpion disappeared, and Dragonus took its place. What was the exact mechanism behind this...?

"I don't think Allen knows that Karma is active on the field... This could be huge for Calvin..." Miko noted. She was right. Neither Allen or Gorem knew it was active. More importantly, Allen couldn't see, which some could argue was already the case, but still. Gorem couldn't either. Dragonus was free to run around any way he wants to, and Gorem doesn't know how to counter.
That's what they think anyway...
"Ability activate. Negation Surge," Allen played. This was a highly-powered Equilibrium Purge that functioned like the fusion Hard Resetter, but is much worse in comparison. In similar fashion to his old gate card Monolith Broken, a white energy wave erupted from Gorem's body and affected the entire field. Now, every ability that Dragonus had in play was negated. Not only will abilities have a harder time activating for a brief 10 seconds, but the ones this activation negated will have diminishing returns should they get used again.
"Apparently, Allen didn't care that he couldn't see it..." Yuji noticed.
"I think it's my turn to attack now. Let's see how you deal with Handicap Buster," Allen challenged.
"Watch your heads," Gorem advised everyone. He raised his arms into the air and then brought them down. Somehow, this motion created a powerful quake that may have shook the whole planet. More importantly, loads of massive rocks shot up into the sky and threatened to crush Dragonus.
