"Let's rock!!!" Matt shouted and put an ability in the gauntlet.

"Dark Machine Gun!"

Aurum jumped up and spread his wings while surrounding himself with dark energy. He started flapping his wings violently releasing countless dark-purple particles at Barracudas. Those purple particles were made of tainted energy that would infect anyone whose flesh is cut and and blood exposed to the touch of these things.
Despite his Percival-like appearance Aurum was not a physical fighter, but mostly resorts to horrible ailments such as causing infections or hypnosis.

Of course, Aurum's first move was some sort of damage over time move. Ryek already knew exactly what to pit this up against." Come on Matt. A attack like that won't even scratch Azure Barracudas. " he taunted as he loaded the ability into the gauntlet. " lets show him how its done. Black rain, activate."

Barracudas opened up a portion of his wings, preparing for the attack. What came next was a barrage of black rain like particles, shooting after the Dark Machine Gun of his opponent. Essentially going bullet to bullet, the abilities battled for supremacy. In the end, they both disappeared. " Try something stronger this time. I really wanna use my new abilities."

"Stronger? I'm just warmin' up now. But you'll get what you ask for soon." Matt replied jokingly and then took another ability card and put it inside the gauntlet. "Let's roll!"
Aurum's dark body started glowing dark-purple color as he was about to unleash another attack on Barracudas.

"Ability activate! Midnight Dust!" Matt said as he activated the ability.
Aurum spread his wings and started flapping wildly with them releasing some sort of black dust that headed towards Barracudas. It was an ability that restrains opponents' movements and poisons them upon impact. If that hits Barracudas he will be in world of pain.

"Maybe thats for the best. Don't wanna ruin the fun for the fans." Ryek continued the joking atmosphere. He was a little worried about what would happen if the Midnight Dust attack hit, but he wasnt gonna let it. A little bit of a throwback will see to that. He loaded up the fated ability, then prepared for the fun." Lets make this interesting. Now ability activate, Dive."

Barracudas used the power of the Dive abilty card to dive underground, treating ot as though it were water. Barracudas "swam" up the walls, positioning himself for a attack from the ceiling. " how are you planning on hitting him while hes underground man. I wouldnt do anything too reckless though, that could prove costly."

"Deja vu, am I right?" Matt asked Aurum after seeing that ability Ryek played.

"Hehe, seen that one before." Aurum replied.

"Ability activate..." Matt inserted an ability card inside his gauntlet letting Aurum do his magic on the battlefield. "Spectral Shadow!" Aurum finished and his body was surrounded by darkness from Spectral Shadow ability.
After this move Aurum jumped and 'dived' in Matt's shadow the same way Barracudas 'dived' into the ground.

"Two can play that game, buddy." Aurum jokingly said as he emerged from one shadow and dived into the other very quickly thanks to the speed of his wings and this weird ability of his.

Both brawlers were playing defensively, as Ryek originally planned. He really wanted to push the pace, but he had one more thing he needed to set up. He loaded up his next ability to finish up preparing. " time to finish the kiddie games. Ability activate, mirrage baracuda."

This combo was especially dangerous. Barracudas could use the ability to make mirrages of himself, trying to confuse the opponent. Add the fact that he was still hidden by Dive, and he can play mind games until his enemy crumbles. Even Aurum would have a hard time dealing with this. Now all Ryek and Barracudas had to do was react. They had it in the bag." Now lets ply find the ball. Except the ball is a fish dragon thing."

"Hehe, Ability activate! Black Spark!" Playing defensively was not the best tactic Matt wanted to hang around with. His Bakugan was naturally not meant for defensive tactic, but more like a speedy fight or something like that. He preferred it that way, so he realized he'd just have to force Barracudas out of his own defense.

Aurum jumped out of his shadow and spread wings that were now charged with dark electricity. He flapped his wings and released that electricity all over the battlefield that it became inescapable without some crazy stunts. "Ah, there you are!" Aurum shouted and managed to delete all mirages quickly grabbing Barracudas in the process.
Electricity acted like a biding rope that grabbed and damaged Barracudas before throwing him aside. "Better put more emphasis on attacking that hiding. Hiding from a Darkus Bakugan is like trying to walk on water; you'll fall right into it." Aurum advised and prepared his battle stance for Barracudas's possible attack.

" I'm well aware of a Darkus bakugans ability to hide. Im also aware that i wasnt going to pull you out." Ryek begun to explain his plan. He loaded up his next ability while doing so, hoping to catch him by surprise with the next move." But if you pulled me, then whatever comes next is you're fault. Lets show him our power. Dual Ability activate, first up Tayghens Rage. "

Tayghens rage was a ability that released more of Barracudas' hidden power. A purple aura begun to form around him, some of this energy floating off his body. This aura was accompanied by a tremendous release of power. He then charged a razor blade shape in his hand. Everyone should know this ability already, but this one was different. The Tayghens rage ability added a purple sheen to the attack." Persist Razor comes up next." He says, tossing the blade at Aurumn

Aurum charged towards the blade coming right at them.
At the same time Matt activated another ability.
"Not so fast there, buddy. Ability activate! Black Star!"

Aurum's body was surrounded by mass of darkness as he charged forward. He was not hesitating, but going straight towards the blade sent at him. On impact with the blade instead of getting damaged by it he cracked the blade shattering it into little pieces and proceeded towards Barracudas to hit him as well.

"Be careful. This could hurt." Aurum said as he made haste towards Barracudas.

Aurum took the attack much better than Ryek thought he would. But that just showed that this next move would hurt a little less. One of the biggest mistakes Matt made was not somehow dispelling the Tayghens rage ability. Ryek had tge next move all prepped. " i think we can put the hurt on him now. Ability activate, Dragon Sword: Typhoon Freezer."

" Now its time for the cold shoulder." Barracudas whispered, tapping ths glyphs near his hands. This now activated the magical power that rested in him. With a swing of his arm, a typhoon was whipped up. First thing it did was rid Arrum of the shadows from his black star ability. It also begun to freeze his body, accelerated by the Tayghens rage." You dont do something quick, and hes going to be a popsicle. Think fast, maybe a half a minute left of non frozen percival. "

Aurum was getting coated in ice very quickly leaving only a small room for Matt to get the right reaction and respond to it. "That's the way!" He said liking how battle was heating up bit by bit and how both Barracudas and Aurum were using stronger and stronger abilities to best one another. Just because he was restrained it didn't mean Aurum was losing a fight. Being attacked by such ability was actually counter-productive for attacker if Matt was to use certain types of countering abilities.

"Aurum, time to roll!" Matt shouted and put an ability card inside the gauntlet. "On it." Aurum nodded in response preparing to use the ability card. "Ability activate! Frigid Spirit!" Light-blue spark came from the gauntlet announcing the activation of this ability.

Frigid Spirit is an ability Matt learned to use from Admiral, Maria, a few months ago and he was really fond of using that ability in these situations that seemed inescapable. Originally, it would coat the user's Bakugan in ice, but since Barracudas was so nice to already lend Aurum a nice coat of ice there was no need.
Aurum let himself get completely coated in ice produced by Barracudas's attack. After that he triggered ability's activation. Ice around him flashed and then Aurum's body turned into dark mist slipping through the cracks in ice and escaping it effortlessly.
However, all debuffs that were done to him during the fights were transferred to that ice coat that was still left there. A perfect escape plan if one needed to get rid of debuffs.

Aurum the grabbed the ice statue and forcefully tossed it at Barracudas. "Catch!!" He shouted as he threw it. Something of that mass combined with great speed it was traveling at was sure to leave a scar or two on Barracudas if he doesn't do something about it quickly.

Aurum played a great counter to the dragon sword ability. To be absolutely honest, Ryek didn't expect him to have something to counter it. That didnt matter though, as he had already set up his next move in anticipation. Not wanting to lose the pressure, he activated it as soon as Aurum threw the ice." Ability activate, Dragon Sword: Wind Revert."

The second Dragon Sword ability, wind revert activated a completely different set of glyphs on Barracudas other arm. This time, he swinged his arm upward, releasing a powerful wind current. Strong enough to blast back anything not directly rooted into the ground. That includes the ice sculpture Aurum sent after Barracudas. "I want a refund, heres your art back." He quipped after launching the attack. Not his best line, but he had to say something.

With a snap, all Ryek had to say to that was. " and thats check."

"Double Ability activate!" Matt said quickly and activated two abilities simultaneously. "Lifeless Shadow!" That was one ability that immediately made Aurum turn completely black and disperse into shadows; he was gone and was nowhere to be found on the battlefield.
Seconds later he reformed far above Barracudas out of reach for that previous ability to hit. Second ability was already active and Aurum was going to use it right now.
"Demon Bombardment!" Aurum shouted and put his palms together forming a huge orb in between them. Orb was twice bigger than Aurum's body and he just casually tossed it downwards where Barracudas was.

Demon Bombardment was an attack that should not hit anyone directly. If they get hit ailments just keep randomly appearing on their body and they quickly lose the fight from massive disorientation. If Barracudas gets hit by that Aurum won't have to do much after that to defeat him.

It was about time that Ryek ended the battle. He wanted to be able to leave for Vestal by nightfall, and he still had a long walk ahead of him. Not only that, but his new abilities would be massive overkill. He prepared two more abilities to put a cap on the brawl." Im a little disappointed in your showing here Matt. It looks lije you need to train before fighting me again. But, as always, theres only one thing that follows check." He gave one last comment to the time that was spent. He wasnt trying to buy time, but he felt that he still wasnt satisfied. " Dual ability activate, Dragon Sword: Maximum Overdrive and Flame Kerdia. Now end this Barracudas. "

With his Maximum Overdrive active, his entire right arm shined glyphs. This time the aura from his Tayghens rage gained a white sheen to it, and that was all that was needed. With it, Barracudas grabbed the Demon Bombardment attack, holding it in his hand. Once he felt the showboating was enough, he tossed it back at Aurum. His arm then ignited, and he swiped it down. The two buffs made what would be a little heat wave into a raging inferno, traveling after Aurum, prepared to eat him up." Checkmate."

"Well, crap." Matt said.
Barracudas's attack quickly made its way towards Aurum.
There was a slight chance for Aurum to evade that since avoiding was simply not an option, but it did not seem Matt was going to make any defensive move on the matter anymore. "Guess we've been bested..." Matt just sighs in a relaxed tone as he watches that attack incoming.
Attack makes contact with Aurum and explodes wrapping Aurum in a veil of flames before Aurum returns to his orb form.

As soon as he is in his orb form he goes back to Matt and jumps on his shoulder.
"Ugh...why do I accept to embarrass myself like this?" Aurum asks in annoyance from Matt's shoulder. He is not very pleased at how short that brawl was and that he could not do much in it. He really hates that he and Matt never train to become stronger, but still just sighs and look at their two opponents. "Ah, nevermind... good brawl anyway. Congrats..." He says.
