"Ability activate! Unholy Lancer!" Seeing that the previous tactic did not do well against Dragonoids that came out of nowhere Matt decided to go for a more extreme tactic. After all, this was far from being a friendly fight- those things were trying to kill them and therefore reason for holding back did not really exist. Unholy Lancer is a wicked ability that can only be used by kind of Bakugans similar to Percival race and Aurum is one of those.
Aurum takes a leap and raises hands into the air. "We don't take intrusions very lightly. Get out!!" Dark mass began to form in the sky and suddenly reformed into pitch-black lances. Lances furiously descended at the Dragonoids hitting every inch of their body and causing heavy damage. While that was in process Aurum grabbed both Dragonoids and smashed them against the ground. Defense-breaking lances drastically reduced their defense and therefore Dragonoids could not take the pressure; they returned to the ball forms.
"Are people so motivated to put their nose where it doesn't belong?" Matt inquires seeing how enemies tend to attack Silver Knights' facilities a lot.
"They'll get the message." Aurum replies.

The Wormquake were burrowing through the floor so they could shoot straight into Astraius and devour him. These large Bakugan could pose a huge problem when more than one is taken into account, but they weren't a significant threat to Tristan. Their problem was their reliance on their sensory abilities. If that gets abused, they don't have anything else to use.
That's where the Silver Knight training comes into play. Tristan did not have to worry about how much force it would have to take to defeat the Wormquake. All he needed was to position them in the proper place.
"Entertain me," Tristan prefaced. "Ability activate! Spirit Flash!" Astraius raised his right palm. A pre-developed orb of light left his hand. It began to sparkle uncontrollably as seizure-inducing lights were radiated from it. This focused energy was like a piece of fresh meat for the Wormquake. Once they emerged from the floor, they were right at each other's throats. They didn't realize how much of a troll Astraius was to intentionally launch an attack like that until they collided, and by then, it was far too late.
"Messed up, but effective," Astraius commented on what he just did to those poor things.
"If you have to use something even close to a quarter of your actual strength against this fodder, you're a bad brawler," Tristan says to them all. "I imagine whoever sent these are battle testing us. Disappoint whoever it is."

"Why am I even here again?!" Shira whines as she quickly maneuvers out of the way of a crash caused by one of the abilities activated by some partner and their bakugan. She was doing fairly well if she did have to say so herself, though he could feel that she would be running out of energy pretty soon. Gale would have to take most of the brawling aspect while she focused on strategy. That's how it always is after all.
The half-blood female did note the drastic change in power levels with the draganoids that Gale was facing, something that she knew her partner would be oblivious to at this moment as he too tries to keep himself on his legs or wings. At least she only had to deal with these people, Gale had to deal with dragons. Freaking dragons. "Gale, take a dive for that switch!" Shira hollers, uppercutting to keep her attack at bay.
A howl came as a response from the man-made bakugan as his mechanical wings glowed a bright green. For a slit second, a light was exchanged between him and the two draganoids. He had absorbed both of their power levels, and they had received his in return. Of course, his power was halved for each draganoids because there were two of them. A diving smash for the two, and it knocked them out of harm's way in Shira's case.

With the defeat of the bakugan, the purple energy that had been surrounding them and thier bralwers left. It didn't dissipate, but left as though it was guided to something. Once freed of the aura, all of the bralwers collapsed, their bodies unable to take the strain. Many of the onlookers took action in pulling them aside. Only one remained.
The man in the black coat had remained behind, clapping at the whole incident." That wasn't half bad, considering those losers caught you by surprise. But hey, what can you expect from half baked bralwers and thier worthless bakugan."
The man then jumped over the wall separating the arena from the stands. This wasn't a easy fear either, but it almost appeared like second nature to this man." Sorry I never introduced myself. I am Deva Malrae. And I'm a real friggin bralwer. So.. how about one of you guys entertain me? I wonder who though."
Deva than began to point from person to person, seemingly as his selection process. He continued to do this for at least a minute, before settling on Shira." You pipsqueak. You'll be my prey for right now. So tell me, are you up for it? Can you play with the big kids?"

Shira narrows her eyes, everything appeared rather... Fishy, to say the least. Starting on the strange purple mist that always meant no good in video games, continuing onto the strange being that had appeared before them. It appeared to be a him, sounded like one too, and his rather blunt confrontation made Shira scoff. At least it wasn't that cliche, no 3 episode long evil dialogue speech.
You're never suppose to judge a book by it's cover though, despite how villan-y this person appears to be. So he might have the looks for the part, but what about his persona? Shira's hair bristles up slightly, like how an animal's would when they felt threatened. Gale had a similar, more drastic reaction. For the wolf, this was his instincts driven by natural wolf and a bakugan. They both could feel that something was very off about this person. Like he were one of the scientists back in the lab.
The threatened side of her dissipated as the person, Deva, spoke to her. Gale kept his focus locked in, gaze unwavering. "But why me!?" She whines with a shout, it wasn't on her to-do list to do brawling. She didn't flee though. It may have been because of the string of Bakugan DNA she had infused into her, the one that didn't back down from a challenge. "Why did I have to be stuck with a bakugan with that kind of temper?" She asks quietly to no one in particular before facing Deva.
"I might. May or may not. It all depends. I guess you could say we run on pure luck."

Deva was almost shocked at how easy it was to get this one to agree. It was almost like she had no idea of his strength. That was fine with him though, as he was going to show all these pests what he had in store for them. Starting with this one." Glad you have the gall to buck up and battle. Now how about we get this show on the road?" Deva gave out the almost sugestion. In reality though, he meant he was starting in the next 5 minutes, wether Shira was ready or not." I got other things to do later and been waiting for a long time to have some fun"
But, after looking around, he noticed the others hadnt quite gotten the signal. It wasnt time for him to play with them yet, so they were supposed to have gone off doing only god cared what. Yet here they are, still standing there like a bunch of brainless lemmings." What are you morons waiting on? Go. Shoo. Bug off. I dont care what, just get out of the way." He ordered for the tagalongs to do, condesendingly waving his hand for them to go away. Maybe they would get this message.

Matt awkwardly stares at what is going on. He just turns around and goes to sit on a stadium seat. "Seriously? One weirdo after another one." Matt silently says about the person who just came out of nowhere looking for a fight. "Is this real life? Normal people don't just pop out of nowhere asking for a fight... oh, yeah... normal people." Matt adds in annoyance as he takes a seat and watches if Shira will beat the hell out of that annoying person.
"Get used to it." Aurum reacts. This is just kind of thing you can expect in a world filled with Bakugans; always some people looking for unnecessary trouble and causing it wherever they go. Maybe it was a mistake not being hard-working. Matt's only motivation to fights is seeing his crush fight and she is quite rare to see fighting, even among Silver Knights, since she travels quite a lot and deals with paperwork on daily basis.

Tristan looked at this guy like there was something wrong with him. He didn't know what to think about him. Does he say that this guy is laughable for thinking he was intimidating by wearing a black coat, or does he laugh at the attempt to sound tough?
"If that's a serious question, I'd say that I was waiting to feel scared," Astraius bluntly answered. "I can give you a few decades if you want."
"Astraius, return to ball form. I'm not wasting my time with this runt," Tristan ordered.
"Really?"
"There's something wrong with him. Watching him get shit on is more preferable for me. There's a reason why the girl was chosen over us. That's all the intel I need about his skill and confidence." Astraius obeyed after hearing this. He returned to ball form and in Tristan's possession. They both went into the stands to watch this fool do whatever he wanted to do.
"The girl has a point... Why her?" Tristan thought. "This man reeks of conflict...and I don't like it."

As Barracudas returned to his ball form, Ryek sized up this Deva character. He didnt look to be a very tough person, but Ryek couldnt shake the feeling that he was much more dangerous than he appeared to be. Maybe it was just paranoia over someone who idly watched as brainwashed goons attacked the stadium, or maybe it was his strange attire. Before he walked away, he decided to give his thoughts.
" Shira, be careful out there. If you pull the same thing you did on those last guys, he will make you regret it. This guy has the feel of a killer in him. If you feel like he's going to do anything particularly threatining, run. Chalk it up to whatever you want, but he's not normal." Ryek said, a grim tone to his voice. Even though he was technically quitting his job as a silver knight, he still felt responsible for peoples safety until he left. He then continued his walk to the stands.
" think that was a good idea?" Barracudas asked." I dont think this is going to go how you expected."
" stay ready Barracudas, because this could get ugly."
" Gotcha."

Shira taps the small watch on her wrist. It was said that this thing was suppose to help her self the brawling performance, as if she would ever need to use it. Of course, she would have to and it was in a dire situation as well. "Gaaah, I hate this thing so much." She huffs, tapping the screen and causing some data to appear. She and Gale knew they were at a disadvantage, which meant she would have to try to get the other to attack to figure out just what they were up against, and if they really needed the extend of two bakugan in here rather than one brawler and one bakugan.
"Once again, why me? There are other good brawlers out there like them," she says, motioning to the others. "Please don't tell me you're one of those people who grinds on the noobs to make themselves feel better. That's just low man."

The little child standing in front of Deva had the guts to try and insult him. Problem was that he didnt care what the fodder had to say." You know what they say, always go for the appetizers first." He almost hissed out, no longer caring if a little of his mania showed through. He already had them right in his trap." Now then, since we got the heavy meals out of the way, its time to get this thing started. Im glad you decided to really try."
He pulled the subterra bakugan ball out from the jacket pocket." Now then, brawl Subterra Terror Ohurio." He tossed it out onto the battlefield. A brown light flashed, then dissapeared. Now normally, a monster would be there in its place. This wasnt the case though in this scenario. Instead, nothing was there. No dragon, reaper, or any other beast. Only empty air." Since im feeling generous for the noob, you can take the first turn."

Post by Xenos Altair on Aug 24, 2017 11:52:54 GMT -5
Xenos had expected his day to be quite eventful, but the current events were even better than he had hoped. The young researcher had come to the arena solely for the sake of observation; getting an idea of how other brawlers fought and formulated startegies. Being a scientist and new brawler himself, he was fervently taking notes, keeping track of weak points in their techniques.
The one between Ryek Marachion and Matt Blade was quite memorable. Xenos was in awe of how the two Silver Knights could keep up with each other, anticipating the other's next attack and responding just as fast. If the researcher cared, he most likely would have assumed the two knew each other from somewhere. However, the only thing that mattered was what he himself could learn from it, especially from Ryek and Azure Barracudas, the two seemed to have such a connection, a bond he himself did not desire, but admired nonetheless.
When the match ended, he resumed his furious notetaking, only to have that interrupted by some commotion in the arena. Lifting his hwad only slightly, the blue-haired brawler watched as both, Ryek, Matt, and a couple other brawlers were engaged with some oddly behaving Bakugan and their brawlers. Further observation revealed to him that they seemed to be affected by some odd purple markings, which left as the Bakugan and brawlers were defeated. He mused as to what it could possibly mean. The substance didn't appear to resemble any compound or energy that he knew of; and he liked to think that knew pretty much everything. Still, it was utterly devastating.
By the time he finished writing down his thoughts on the purple energy, Xenos looked back up to see an odd looking man that appeared to be challenging a young girl to a Bakugan Brawl. It wasn't particularly odd, except for the man himself. Somethjng just didn't seem right about him, but the young man couldn't figure out what.
As Deva threw out his Bakugan, Xenos couldn't help to wonder why no one could actually see the thrown out partner. The researcher grimaced, given the fact that the girl and her Bakugan had already fought, and now had to take on a Bakugan who was fresh and invisible? This looked horribly one sided. Even he was having a hard tume figuring out how one would beat this. Maybe if he could involve himself. The only problem was he had never brawled before. Turning to his left and right he checked to see if someone else in the stands was experienced and brave enough to deal with this. The only problem was: he was the only person left in the bleachers. The blue haired brawler sighed. Maybe he could involve himself, but not yet. For now, he would just watch.
Watch and observe.

Shira blinks a few times at the absence of a visible opponent. Wasn't there supposed to be a... see-able opponent? It wasn't a thing where only bakugans could see it, considering that Shira herself is part bakugan and Gale just as clueless as she is on this matter.
"I am getting some sort of reading on an opponent bakugan," Gale mumbles, looking around the area, "but nothing visible." He simply trots onto the battlefield, no fancy vocal cues on him leaping into action this time around, they were much too confused to do something like that.
Shira rolls her eyes, "Well this noob 'ain't up for any of your generosity. You're already making me look like an idiot, I'm not all too interested in making the first move to a bakugan that isn't here." She states, still trying to figure out what the heck was going on. It as obvious that some kind of bakugan here that was their opponent, there was no denying it, so where the heck was it?
