Having been recently contacted by Eden at the same time Markus was called to the Silver Knights, Tank was inside of their base of operations. He was allowing them to examine Gladion at the request of Lydia who wanted to make sure that there weren't any signs of irreversible damage from the bout with Blade. She also let him know that the test was to get him cleared of a Hurranian infection if it was detected. She believed Gladion was already clean, but to abide by Eden's safety protocol nowadays, they do it to make sure. Lydia then requested a blood sample from Tank, which he complied with. The examination with Gladion finishes, him looking green across the board. They come back the next day and finds Lydia very curious about his results. She knew there was something special about Noland and Tank because they were both immune to Hurranian infection, but didn't know why. They figured out that Noland's Gundalian heritage is the reason for his immunity, but they still don't know how Tank got away with it; however, she noticed that Tank's was stronger for some reason. This led Gladion to believe that his divine DNA is the source of his immunity. Slightly disturbed to hear this, Lydia requested clarification. Tank mentioned the bits and pieces his father told him concerning this phenomenon, but could only say that they hailed from Ancient Rome, not knowing how or why they possess this power. Lydia communicated these findings with Alex later on concerning what may happen if Dr. Kyuki were to find out about Tank's power. She was told to keep it within their organization and reduce the spreading of that information as much as possible. A couple of minutes later, a dimensional portal appeared within Eden grounds and dropped something large off there, shaking the area a bit. Lydia was concerned that there was another Dark Hole Phenomenon that she was always afraid of, especially in Alex's case. She was glad to be wrong about that when the matter was identified, but she didn't expect it to be a giant frog. Everyone who was not in Eden flocked over there to examine this creature. Tank rushes outside, thinking it was a Hurranian, but found this instead. The frog is delighted that he's there - so delighted that he transfers them both to the Aquos dimension in Vestroia for them to have their conversation. ( Boss Theme)

The deepest part of the Aquos Dimension was an expansive canvas covered entirely with water. Tank and Gladion - once he was forced into monster form - were standing on this water like it was a solid surface. Frosch resurfaced from the water and caused a wave to rise and collapse on top of them, drenching them. Riled up over the sudden kidnapping and the drenching, Tank demanded to know the identity of this Bakugan.
He introduced himself as Frosch, the Aquos member of the Legendary Soldiers of Vestroia. He explains that the purpose behind him appearing on Earth was to let others know of their presence so they do not try anything. Tank wonders who he's talking about, but Frosch suggests that he's already facing the ones who should know about them the most. With that said, he brought them back to Vestroia to test his abilities in a certain game he wanted to play. That game involved the summoning of John and Katherine. The rules were extremely simple. Frosch was going to space them out, and he was going to try and eat them. If Frosch gets them both, Tank loses. If Tank manages to beat him before he can get both of them, then he'll win.
This angered Tank for a moment that Frosch would think that this should be a game. Considering that one already died and the other was in danger of dying, he and Gladion weren't particularly thrilled to be playing this game, especially when they were facing a frog of all things. Frosch then said it shouldn't be a problem for them to win if they think he's not up to par, so he hopped backwards to give everyone some space before they started the fight.

The first thing Gladion tried to do was to quickly rush to John to get him to safety, but a water ripple blocked his path. Frosch insisted that he leaves them there as it's all apart of the game and that he shouldn't cheat the system by moving them from where they are since he'll not always be able to do so. Tank submitted to this and equipped Gladion with his Gladius and Aegis. Frosch noticed that the move seemed to be a favorite lead for Tank. He allowed Gladion to try and stab him with the sword, but it was ineffective as he used his strong hind legs to evade the attack. He then used his tongue to quickly seize Gladion's shield, ate it, and then gained its properties for a limited time until it digested. He stared at Gladion to activate its properties, freezing the warrior there for a little bit.
Frosch nonchalantly hopped towards John during Gladion's immobilization, but it was cut short when the latter used Warrior's Pride to break out and pierce through Frosch from behind. The part of his body that was split open turned into water and merged with each other to reform the specific part, prompting Gladion to call foul since adult frogs aren't supposed to have that capability. Frosch claimed that Gladion isn't supposed to have access to the abilities he has, so he should be thankful for some things not making sense. He stuck his tongue out again to lick Gladion, smothering him in saliva that progressively broke down the gladius until it was dissolved and caused great difficulty in summoning another one. Powerless before the face of the legend, Gladion was unable to prevent Frosch from leaping over him and eating John right before their eyes.
Because Frosch was able to do that so easily, Tank was visibly stunned. Frosch told him not to feel so down as he was facing a legendary Bakugan, and most Bakugan would fail the test within one move. He jumped back across the field to get in his starting position to plot a course for Katherine. Before he did that, Frosch noted that how John just went out wasn't too different from how died for real, referencing how Gladion could do nothing to stop either him or Belphenoid from taking John away. Frosch then wondered if Tank was ready to lose what he has now, picking off of what Tank said to Markus directly.

A rumbling was heard throughout the Aquos Dimension as Poseidon's Colosseum rose from the water. Tank had activated a gate card to make this happen, and what burst into the arena was Apollo's Chariot. Gladion boarded it while the pegasi bombarded Frosch with fireballs. During this moment, Tank said that he doesn't care what kind of Bakugan Frosch is. All that mattered was that he was fighting to save the people that he loved, and he was going to do anything within his power to make that happen. Frosch found that interesting despite just eating John, but Tank knew that John was protecting Katherine with him, especially since John's guardian was in her possession anyway. This meant that John getting eaten didn't matter to him since he would still be there regardless, with him and with Katherine.
Frosch theorized that he'll have to get rid of Katherine as well to purge John away from this world, and that's exactly what he was going to do. Tank wouldn't allow this. Gladion equipped the legendary Bow of Artemis, dipped his arrows in the Poison of the Hydra, and shot it in unison with the pegasi to create flaming volleys of toxic projectiles scattering across the field nonstop. Frosch rapidly fired jet-stream bullets out of his mouth to break down Gladion's offensive. While initially being overwhelmed by the raining bullets from their dispersal, Gladion persevered by dislodging the carriage from the pegasi while it was facing Frosch's general direction, causing it to go on a crash course to run the frog over; the pegasi acted as separate Bakugan for him instead. They formed a union to use Burning Cold to encase Frosch in a burning ice sculptor before focusing their energies into an overpowering Force of the Gods.
This nearly defeated Frosch, but the old timer had one last trick up his sleeve: Aquos Ripple. His back lit up when he used this technique. A bright light encased the arena before everything was forcibly shattered by a concussive water blast, presumably caused by the rippling water underneath the structure. As the famed arena sunk, so did Tank's chances of winning from Frosch's standpoint. To finish Tank off, Frosch used the most powerful Aquos ability, Aquos Cyclone, to trigger a torrential cyclone storm around them, composed entirely of water. If Gladion and his mounts weren't going to be destroyed by the destructive force, then they'd surely drown. This looked like the end for them all.

Tank and Gladion struggled to stay afloat from all of the crushing waves generated from the legendary ability. Not wanting to amplify the power of it using Zeus's lightning, Tank tried to turn the tide using the Trident of Poseidon, but Gladion did not have enough power in his evolution's body to reverse the situation. His pegasi was swallowed by the storm and ripped to shreds, leaving Tank and Gladion on the brink of death. Katherine was on her way out as well. For the second time in forever, Tank had serious doubts about whether he was going to make it, much less save his girlfriend.
Frosch reminded Tank that he had lost his confidence, something he'd never expect of someone of his stature. He brought up what was said to Markus about his strengths being turned against him, and he asked why. Before Tank could think of an answer, Frosch took a guess; he guessed that it was because he believed in himself as hard as he could and is afraid to end up a failure, one who fails to protect what matters most even if he uses everything within his power. Frosch forced Tank to think about the old days when he was a quarterback by asking him what happens on the field if his head was clouded. Tank knew how important it was for him to stay level-headed or he was going to lose the game for his team, but he insisted that this is much different since everyone's lives are on the line because of the Hurranians. The same applied to his time with the Colts and Legion.
Frosch then proposed another question to him: Why does it have to be different?
Tank listened to him for a brief moment to see where he was going with this. Frosch stated that he made a promise to his teammates on the football and brawling teams, the promise that he was going to do whatever it took to get them through. Frosch considered their reality a game that they could win, and he designated Katherine as his teammate. As Tank is used to, he was the captain. What Frosch wanted him to do was think about what it meant to win and what it meant to lose, and if losing her was what could be considered a losing condition, then Tank should already know what kind of mental state you have to be in to ensure that she makes it through with him. John was ejected from the game and will never play again due to injury - still on Frosch's game viewpoint, but one player being taken away shouldn't drag everyone else down, and he knows Tank understands that. Letting all of that settle in, Frosch wondered what needed to be done for Tank and everyone else to survive.
As new abilities started to materialize for Gladion, Tank affirmed that it was his duty to prevent loss to his loved ones, and he was going to make sure that promise was kept.

Gladion gained access to a powerful Remnants of the Titans ability, the Eyes of Prometheus. This allowed him to see what was ahead in a manner of forethought. Seeing that Frosch was going to make the jump in between the storm cycle to eat Katherine before she is swallowed up, Gladion positioned himself accordingly so that he could meet him there. He used the power of the Trident of Poseidon to keep the waves away from him and Tank as they rushed for Katherine. Frosch was unaware that Gladion could make predictions with that technique, so he walked right into Gladion's hands.
Gladion donned the Remnants of the Titans - Body of Atlas to give himself unmatched fortitude, effectively carrying the fate of himself, Tank, and Katherine on his shoulders. This would keep him going in the case he is defeated, but he'll be steadily drained of his life gauge the longer he stays on the field after his original strength has been depleted, and the speed of it will be increased depending on the severity of the situation. He infused some of his power into the water to call on the Kraken's tentacles to restrain Frosch and throw him into the storm. Frosch grappled Gladion with his tongue so they could travel through it together. Being buffeted by Aquos Cyclone caused Tank's life gauge to start decreasing since it was strong enough to put Gladion down, so he had to act quickly.
Tank used Battle Charge to release himself from Frosch's grip and swinging him into the direction of the water tornadoes. Since Frosch couldn't use that to his advantage anymore, he was forced to end the technique, sparing everyone else from a watery-filled grave. Being pushed past what he thought would be necessary, Frosch was taken aback by Tank's growing power; however, he noted that he was still ahead of Tank since the soldier had somehow passed on some of its poison to Gladion, harming him greatly. As Tank's life gauge was reaching critical levels from this deficit, he played his final card: Weapons Cache: Caduceus. He gripped the snake-bound staff to remove the toxins from his body and have the reptiles extend themselves to bite into Frosch, putting him to sleep within a moment's notice; this ended the brawl with Gladion being the only one standing, giving him the tactical victory.
Tank wiped off a bit of sweat off of his forehead when it finally ended. He apologized to Gladion for doubting their capabilities after everything that has happened. Gladion explained that it was natural for both of them to have negative thoughts about the happenings, but if they can't think for the better for themselves, then nothing's going to happen in their favor; that's how they became champions in the arena, and that's how they're going to become champions in life, together. They shook each other's hand to form their new promise to each other. Tank then turned to Katherine and thanked her for not giving up on him throughout all of the battles they've had to suffer through and hopes that she'll trust him when it comes to his will to protect her. Katherine replied that she never lost faith in him and knew that he'd get his drive back before dispersing into blue particles.

Listen to howl of our souls Battle between Alex and Damian has been going on for quite some time. It sure was just another pointless brawl among many out there, but not like Alex had anything better to do that day except bringing Maria coffee (if you count that as 'better'). He was sure that whatever cause Damian was fighting for at that moment was not for any greater good; one evil chasing another couldn't possibly result in something good, but in a horrific and bloody carnage of innocents who would be caught in their pointless fights.
It seemed that everyone among Spartans was very eager to cause trouble wherever they went without any sense for lives they might extinguish in the process. Their actions sure reflect their personality of obedient little puppies who would do anything for their wretched master; bunch of mindless slaves. That was why they represented great danger. From his actions, Damian proved himself to be just a senseless murderer; to launch an attack like that without thinking how many people could get caught in the attack and die. Letting that ticking bomb stay alive was not a wise choice; better deal with one masked freak than two lunatic murderers.
"Ability activate! Loki's Judgement!" Alex said and inserted a green-colored ability card inside the gauntlet producing a green flash. This ability was among those that would use Bakugan's body as a vessel and inject attribute of other kind into it. Anyone could have guessed that injected attribute was Ventus based on the color of the ability card. Loki is one of Nordic deities and his attacks are mostly usage of ranged abilities such as bows and arrows and that was exactly what Dante was going to do.
His massive shield and lance disappeared to be replaced with large mesmerizing bow and a huge silver allow that was surrounded by holy light. Dante pointed the bow towards the sky right above him while leaning it a bit forward. With a careful move he drew an arrow and fired it towards the sky. Arrow exploded when it reached about 170-200 meters and it turned into a huge mass of flames. Suddenly, countless flaming arrows mixed with Ventus attribute started raining down on a certain radius around Damian and Helios, so they would not hit anything important and hurt innocents. If this attack hits it will not only hurt Helios, but will kill Damian considering the amount of energy stored in those explosive arrows.

Damian didn't want to admit this, but he was not too happy about Alex keeping his attention for this long. It was wasting more time than he had originally planned when picking this fight. He didn't feel like he bit off more than he could chew, but in terms of why they were there, he might have done just that.
"Ohh. Sparkly," Helios joked when he looked up at the incoming attack. He mostly downplayed the attack because he thought it looked very weak in comparison to his abilities.
"Ability activate! Void Quasar!" Helios quickly conjured a fireball in his mouth and dispersed it. His reward for doing so as opposed to launching it was that he could cover a wide area with the energy he could've used as a direct attack, possibly lacerating the opponent in impact. He tilted his head back a little to ensure everything was aimed towards the projectiles. The wave of fire that was sent their way incinerated every single thing headed for them, and it didn't seem to take too much effort from Helios to do so.
"That was an okay attempt for my life there, Knight. Two out of ten," Damian noticed, somehow pleased that Alex was starting to take this seriously. "I'll tell you what. If you bump that up to a seven, I may just try to take you seriously in this form, not that I don't mind you entertaining me longer than usual. It's your life. Don't waste it."

Listen to howl of our souls "I'm satisfied with two, thank you very much." Alex replied to what Damian said about not being impressed with Alex's and Dante's abilities. Alex did take that fight seriously, but from how Helios fought there was simply no need to increase Dante's power to a destructive level. Helios used his Second Layer and there was still no need for Dante to enter in Chaos Takeover and not to talk about Valiant Strive that was way out of Chaos's league.
"You are the one supposed to beat info out of me, remember? So, if you want it you're gonna have to take this seriously regardless of whether I power-up or not. As far as I'm concerned I can stand here all day until you decide to take this seriously or leave without info." Alex said to Damian. He didn't really care what Damian wanted to do; the only thing he needed was to keep an equilibrium between Dante's and Helios's powers and power-up right after Helios did so as well. Since Damian would eventually need to power up if he wanted to beat Dante it was pointless for Alex to go first and increase the power if he could just wait. And plus, defensive abilities were barely scratching the surface of Dante's stamina, so he could just play defense all day.
"Ability activate! Loki's Fury!" Alex activated same type of ability, but this time it did not consist of multiple arrows heading from above. Another silver arrow appeared in Dante's hand and he launched it with the bow towards Helios. Arrow was soon surrounded in Pyrus and Ventus energy turning into something equal to a missile than a simple arrow. And it headed right towards Helios to pierce him in a chest. Doubtful that they'd be stupid enough to let that hit, but it was an excellent energy-saver since Alex did not want to waste Dante's energy.

"You're right about me not taking this seriously, but you have us mistaken on that being necessary to get you to talk," Damian replied. "A brawler of your skill set makes it hard for someone like me to subdue in this situation. In other words, I'm struggling to find a way to beat you without killing you."
Numerous light pillars rose from the ground beneath Helios. His flames were starting to supercharge along with this phenomenon, so much so that the projectile Dante was trying to pierce him with was steadily burning into ash.
"Ability activate! Malevolent Core!" This was Helios's signature ability while in the Second Layer. Drawing on the power of the planet's core itself gave Helios more than enough power over what happens on the field. The level of strength he is at now essentially makes him able to nullify any ability he comes into contact with using the incontestable heat. That isn't even mentioning what the Third Layer's heat is capable of doing to the opposition...
"You're laughably weak," Helios insulted.
"I'm already aware you're abusing the situation here knowing that I can't really kill you just yet. That's why we donned the Second Layer in the first place. I don't have to worry about taking you seriously since I'm miles ahead of your power, and I can lacerate your Bakugan without putting too much thought into it. You could theoretically bet on me not being able to destroy you, which I think is a terrible idea, or, you could power up too and make it easier for me to put you down. It's your decision, but you can't stay that way forever. I know you know that."
Dante's location was wrapped in what appeared to be a spiral before a flash of heat burst into the scene, threatening to do exactly what Damian said he could do.

Listen to howl of our souls Alex seriously became irritated with Damian's attitude. It reminded him of his former adversary, Thomas Silver, who sought to prove that he was the strongest Knight and then was defeated just as he was about to reach those who were Generals. He never liked Thomas because all he could think about was power; even though he never killed an innocent his eagerness to kill terrorists was more like insanity.
"Power, strength, destruction, killing...bla bla bla..." Alex said in irritated tone. "You know, every enemy we face is always the same; big talk, threats... Acting like killing a person is just turning a page on a book." Alex then sighed relieving his irritation of Damian's speech and then he inserted another Loki's green card in his gauntlet triggering its activation. What Damian said only proved Alex what kind of person Damian was. Simply put, a f**king idiot. Villains, always the same. Killing, destroying and all those things...
"Ability activate! Tyr's Justice!" Alex said and activated an ability card. Just like Loki, Tyr was a name of a Norse god. Dante's lance disappeared from his hand and was replaced with a large sword made of gold. In the same time Dante's armor and sword started glowing in golden color as Dante stabbed the sword into the ground. Sword dispersed into a powerful 'area of effect' blast of golden energy that started mixing with Helios's attack. "I'm not saying you can't destroy me. I'm merely doing this the way I like it. If you don't like it, well...boo-hoo..." Alex added before ability took place. Golden energy devoured Helios's attack whole and then it dispersed along with it. After that Dante's lance came back to his right hand.

Damian shrugged when Alex was critiquing his motives. "Why wouldn't killing be that simple for me? I am the strongest Spartan for a reason. It wasn't because I like to talk shit all the time. You didn't seem to mind me doing it for this long up until now. I wonder what changed."
"Besides, that sounds like a personal problem for the both of you. It's not my fault I can have all of this power and you can't," Helios chimed in. Despite what Dante just did to that wave, he drew more power from the core anyway. It didn't bother him at all that Alex was continuing to fight this way, at least not anymore.
"I'll let you in on a little secret. We've given up on powering our attacks with our own energy ever since we assumed this form. Guess where I'm getting it from." As soon as he said that, the ground underneath Dante collapsed into a series of explosions. The intense heat also started eruptions across the horizon as well. This may have caused a heavier shaking of the ground than usual, but it was okay. It was their loss, not his.
"It could be from what's down there. Then again, it couldn't be. You find out and tell me."

Listen to howl of our souls "I don't mind it. I just wondered if you had a strong reason for what you do. Apparently not." Alex said in disappointment as Damian just proved his point; another mindless murderer who just kills because he can. A very stupid excuse, but what to expect from a weakling like that. Not that he was weakling in power, but at heart. People who always have to prove themselves to be stronger are quite weak behind the curtains. "If bark-and-no-bite is power I must say you're more powerful than me, indeed." Dante replied as he flew out of the flames thrown at him from the ground. He decided not to land on the ground and keep levitating instead.
Power Damian used from the ground was certainly a surprise, but not a shock. With Necro Hydranoid Alex remembered from the past there was almost no attack that could shock him anymore. This was just 'another' attack he has witnessed before. Dante was not too impressed either; last time something like this was used on him he felt like his soul was torn apart, but now it just stung.
"Come on, already...this is like waiting at the dentist. Just fire something useful. By the time you decide to do so both you and Earth are gonna run out of power..." Alex said expecting Damian to finally do something. Dante did receive damage, but not enough for them to change their minds and start using their true power. "Ability activate, Absolute Lance!" This ability has already been played, but thanks to Helios's hesitation that nasty timer for Absolute abilities has reset again allowing him to reuse them. Distortion energy from the lance went right into the ground in form of thunder causing ground to shake a bit. Then all of a sudden ground below Helios exploded like it happened to Dante before. However, this time without explosions but large rocks and parts of debris hitting Helios's body. Alex did not know how long he'd have to wait until Damian decided to give up or use the power he was hiding.

Damian rolled his eyes when Alex continued to downplay the level of power he was at. He wasn't really surprised. That's just Alex's style. His style was way more brutal than that. That's why when Helios jetted towards Dante during the time he was supposed to have felt damage, he didn't hold anything back.
"Explosion Crash!" Helios chose to be more direct with this ability than he usually would. He made contact with Dante's chest with his fists, lacerating him on contact like Damian predicted earlier; the armor pieces Dante wore started to burn and fade away. Helios chose not to detonate it immediately. He drove Dante into the barrier, and then set off the bomb. The resulting explosion spread his firepower onto Dante's weapons, progressively melting them as well. The barrier was completely broken afterwards, showing that it was unable to contain a serious Damian.
"You know NOTHING about me," Damian made perfectly clear, sounding like he was triggered by how Alex said that. The smirk and the smile he had from earlier went away completely. "I don't recall needing a strong reason to do anything. Whether you agree with it or not isn't the issue. You know why I'm here, so that's all you need. Trying to understand where your opponent is coming from is useless. It'll all be meaningless once the opposing brawler is eliminated. As for you, I intend on making that a reality, regardless of whether everything around you is burned straight to the ground."
Damian followed up with another ability after striking Dante down in this fashion. "Ability activate! Sol Pulse!" Helios folded his wings inward a bit as he was above the downed Dante. As the Second Layer version of Sol Breaker, this was undoubtedly mayhem in a shell. A never-ending volley of heat-induced light rays left Helios's body rapidly, causing everything around them to be engulfed in a surging wave of fire that just kept getting bigger by the second.

Listen to howl of our souls "Haha, is that so?" Alex laughed not as a mockery, but he seriously found this coincidence funny. It reminded him of Commander Blaze and Raven, two members of Chrono Elite he went against. When asked why they fought for a maniacal leader like theirs they simply said it was because he was 'an absolute ruler'. In every normal person's head that would sound utterly ridiculous. Someone who does not fight for any reason... "What a terrible feeling that must be. To fight from day to day, but for nothing... I wonder what or whom you've lost that no one's life matters to you... Tell me, does your life matter to you?" Alex inquired in curiosity since this kind of behavior reminded him of another person; a person he did not want to be reminded of.
"Ability activate! Absolute Serenity!" With this ability activate Dante's body turned completely transparent. In a few seconds flames Helios produced swallowed Dante and he was inside the flames for about ten seconds before emerging and dropping his transparency. Absolute Serenity...distortion ability that makes Dante's body become a distortion itself making his body classified as 'something that does not exist'. Any you can't hit it, if it doesn't exist. "Ability activate! Sparks From Heaven!" This was another one of his abilities, but this time it was a stronger one. Since Helios decided to power-up it was only natural that Alex and Dante followed accordingly, so they would not be caught in more trouble.
Dante's lance disappeared and mass of blue flames appeared in his hand with blue sparks coming out of it. He tossed that flaming mass and as it headed towards Helios it was getting bigger and bigger until it became like a smaller meteorite of blue flames. Mass landed on Helios pushing him against the ground. Blue flames started devouring his scales and made it to the skin burning it and preparing to reach further. This flame was not even hot, but it felt just weird...like it was alive.
